Airports themselves are not able to lower fares and $100,000 is not enough money to use as a subsidy to attract low cost airlines. For any new airline to start service from CID they will require millions of dollars in guaranteed revenue to stimulate demand and the lower loss of servicing a small airport. CID's best chance to land a low cost carrier is to offer Frontier Airlines enough guaranteed money to fly to Milwaukee to connect to their network there. Keep writing the airport director or commissioner to demand more service.

Casey's is one of my favorites convenience stores. I love the pizza! I grew up in Iowa and moved after college and have missed what Casey's has to offer. I will not be stepping foot in Tard's stores if the hostile take over bid is successful.
Losing a corporation out of state will be bad for the economy as a whole, less tax revenues a possibly a decrease in employment, especially at corporate HQ.

Not cool. It is the most economical choice of hotels in the downtown area. Turning the Iowa House into 200 dorm rooms is not a solution to the problem. The UI needs to build a new dorm or add on to pre-existing dorms. I'm sure there is some well to do alumnus that would love to see a dorm named after them.

Glad they were able to save wrestling. I will be graduating from Norwich Grad school this November. Its a small but a good college.
