I do not think Dobbs invoked conservatives as dangerous. His house was shot... that was confirmed by a police investigation. Whether the people shot at him think of themselves as liberal or conservative, Dobbs should not have to deal with that kind of problem, and has a right to discuss it.
I don't think it matters that he's conservative enough... it matters that CNN doesn't welcome a legitimate and major point of view anymore. In leaving, the president of CNN insulted Dobbs's work as merely advocacy journalism. After 30 years at CNN, they owed him respect. How many journalists have worked for CNN longer than Dobbs? Zero. And now CNN people know what to expect if they work hard to build that company.

Well, that's exactly what this is about. That's all this is about. The nobel peace prize admitted they were trying to send a message as a 'kick' at republicans when they awarded this prize the Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. As we all know, those two men did not actually reduce the armies of the world. Carter drastically increased them in Africa and Iran, sadly.
This is about anger and hatred against the conservative movement. It's sad that a once honorable prize is now bitterly focused on fighting political opponents.
If this were truly about Obama's accomplishments, the award would have been given after he accomplished them... not merely for promising to do so. There are real heros in prisons in Iran and China that are overlooked so that this committee can make a statement and glorify a well known person who hasn't actually accomplished anything yet. That's cowardly and contrary to Alfred Nobel's mission.
