Funny Thanksgiving day story...We were at our daughter's in the city for the day-just across the border from the BC in Spokane. Daughter and son went walking with the dog and came upon a young turkey wandering alone in the very residential neighborhood. We laughed and said that someone's dinner must have gotten away. Daughter said that there are actually lots of wild turkey sightings throughout the winter in her neighborhood-usually large groups of the big birds running the streets and into yards! Why did we bother with a fresh bird from the grocery? Maybe the BC winner will be able catch their own Thanksgiving dinner next year! :-)

Sandy, I've lived in all sort of housing situations. Close proximity to neighbors as you mentioned, multi-family housing units where walls are shared, homes with large lots, and rural locations with loads of land between neighbors. In each situation, kindness and respect for others is required. Each is do able, but may not be the perfect choice for every individual or family. I've loved something about each place I've lived. Oh, there may have been some things less than pleasant about each, but bottom line, I found a way to make each location my HOME!

I am with you, Sandy! I love the idea of exploring Austin through this SH and would feel so blessed if I were the lucky winner of this home! I appreciate the technology and engineering that are required to develop up to date smart home features. Some may suit my lifestyle and some may not. That's ok. It's good to see what is being presented and determine what works best for each individual or family.
As for fans...I loved the ones that were presented in earlier homes...

Funny story about turkeys in the CDA area, Florida Native...On a recent visit to CDA my husband was at a meeting so I decided to drive around and look at our old stomping grounds from when we first were married. I was in a residential area near Fernan Lake which is a part of CDA city proper and just out my car window were 13 wild turkey! I did a quick drive around the block to get in position to take a picture of them and they were gone! We often see turkey in the wild in our drives around the region, but it's always been in rural areas. This was a first to see them right in CDA!

Saw some gorgeous wood and metal frames that would be stunning to display regional art work at the CDA BC! Artwork appears to "float" inside the frame. Check them out here:

There is also a smaller version to display 5x7 prints.
Such beautiful craftsmanship!
While we don't yet know what the decor of the CDA BC will be, I can only imagine and dream how fantastic it would be to have these frames included!
