Oh yes... Door County! Picture postcard perfection!
We love the glow from traditional candles but with a busy kitty and two dogs we've opted for beautiful flameless ones instead. I place autumn scents in all the wax burners and fill the house with wonderful aroma from baking yummy treats. (The cooler weather always makes me want to bake up a storm!) I hang an autumn garland and wreath, unfurl a harvest flag and set out the autumn welcome mat. I love the different colored and shaped pumpkins and gourds and like to display them with colorful corn. We always have wheat sheaves out-and this time of year, especially, they serve to remind us of our many blessings.
Lovely photos, Laurie! Thanks for sharing! (And you are just so darn cute, too!)
You are so right, DBCoop, High season rent is limiting. But what a wonderful opportunity for a very lucky DH 2015 winner! Fingers crossed!
it sounds like you have things taken care of so now you just have to relax and enjoy all the fun on the blogs!
I love driving through the gorge and getting the first view of Mt. Hood, but Mount Rainier is home to me...so that makes all the difference!
There you go again, DeerSpring, graciously sharing all the goodies you find! Thanks! Noticed lots of interesting new things to love...the hammered, contrasting underside of the lighting above the kitchen stools, the guest room light above the bed, the textured vase and statue in the living room, the "yin/yang" stools in the bedroom...Dare I go on?
Whenever I go "home" again, just catching a glimpse of Mount Rainier always takes my breath away. It is so majestic!
RANSW is beautifully unbelievable...$25K-$40K per week with a 7 day minimum stay. Plus you have to pay the actual cost for the propane to heat the pool. YIKES!
