Giggling at Anya's comment! I also tend to avoid mountainous heavily wooded areas.
My greatest weirdness question..
.Who thought of eating artichokes! Spiny things they are and the only good parts ya gotta work for! Boil 'em, then pick off the leaves just so I can have a mini-bite while digging my way to the heart of the 'choke.
Husband makes a delicious stuffed artichoke and I love it--but often buy a jar of marinated artichoke hearts just to get out of the work : )

I had a list! Then realized that the BEST "little thing" I'm thankful for is my husband's wonderful habit of opening doors for me...literally! Even after 10+ years of marriage he walks ahead to open doors and to the passenger side to open the car door, too!

For many years I have battled perfectionistic tendencies. Still not "there" and thankful that God is faithful to remind me that only Jesus is perfect! I have lost so many opportunities and lost sight of dreams because I wanted perfection. Now, at this wonderful time of my life, I have come to a place of self-acceptance, which has freed me in so many ways. Sad that it took so long to get over "approval seeking" . Now..I live ONLY to please God, and tho I fail, a LOT, I am extremely confident that He loves me just as I am-warts, trip-n-falls, unmade beds and all<s>.

Ah gee...being my age, I have WAY too many silly facts<s>.

I was a fat geek girl, even before it was fashionable-back then it was referred to as "teacher's pet"
(btw..still on the zaftig side)

I was, at one time, the youngest female poker dealer in Nevada (21 & 4 mos).

To the best of my knowledge, my husband-of the-time and I are the last World Series of Poker "Mixed Doubles" champs.

I was the prez of the Chess Club and also a cheerleader in high school.

My "online personna" is Guennii (or Guenevere or Lady Guenevere). First adopted on Compuserve CB Simulator way back in 1989. This is also where I first met my beloved husband "Vidman"

OK..enough!

Living directly across the Hudson River from the Big Apple (aka New York City) first of all provides a view of the Manhattan skyline from the Empire State Building to just past the Brooklyn Bridge.(see a pre-9/11 view at http://home.comcast.net/~donnaacole/) All I have to do is step outside to our balcony. At the same time, where we live is serene, somewhat isolated and peaceful (see pix here: http://portliberte-community.com/). All the joys of a quiet place and at the same time, easy access( a20 min ferry ride) to all that NYC has to offer. Indeed the best of both worlds.
And talk about diversity of cultures! Even in Jersey City, a multitude of languages and dress can be heard and seen. True also of any time one walks down a NYC street!

Being a transplant from Las Vegas, NV and the southwest, I've also come to appreciate the visible change of seasons, with all of God's splendor displayed at just the right time. To say the least...where I live is truly exciting, fun, and always a blessing!

I found LifeChurch after reading Craig's "Chazown" based on the "Life Development Plan" (2004). Open.org and the ability to find previous messages drew me to my first LCOnline Experience. Church Online was, at first, awkward. As I continued to log on, I got to know others, and now LifeChurch is MY church. Craig, Brandon and Tony are MY pastors and all the LCOnline family is MY family. Who woulda thunk<s>!

Renee, thanks for sharing how important our LP service is. Admittedly, there are times when I am just "not in the spirit" ...and then I log on and find the joy of serving GETS me in the Spirit!. LivePrayer is (and has) been a blessing to me-as are all my fellow LP servants.
