Iowa tenant landlord section 562A.23
This is a very vibrant group of people. We lost 59 of 147 boat houses(40%) at ground zero. We managed to recover 3 Boathouses and repair others. Right now the Quarry is full of Boathouses being built to be put in, with several more slatted to be built. Hopefully we will have electricity by the end of the month making this year a busy one with signs of growth and infill. Thank you goes to Kirsten Running Marquardt for writing the bill, the overwhelming support of our Representatives and Governor Culver. While it's a destination point for many, everybody is always welcome. Don't forget the July 3rd fireworks or the Venation Boat parade in Aug. SEE YOU THERE!!!!!
I only have few questions. Where is the money coming from for the signs, post cards, door to door flyers, media ETC for the vote yes? Plus I thought the existing LOST ends 2014. Why try to extend it now or even before an election schedule? Has anyone noticed the selective views in the news articles? I know we need to move forward but 20 years is too long for me.
Cedar Rapids lost a good one. He's done so much for Cedar Rapids and it's citizens. RIP Don. Our thoughts go out to the family.
Thanks TEK, they wanted to force landlords to take section 8 in CR. What does that say?
I've dealt with Greg Koenighain and felt very pleased he worked for CRPD. I had my charge card stolen twice. Once buying Girl scout badges in Los Angles and a boat dealer in Wisconsin. Greg not only got my money back when E-bay said there is nothing I can do. He also helped me press charges. VERY professional and Nice. I have no problem defending this man. Has to be more to this story they aren't talking about. He was a good cop. Good luck in what you do Greg, it's our loss.
20 years is way to long. Things change a lot in 5 years. This tax takes away the peoples voice for 20 years WRONG WRONG. We do need to take ownership. I rebuilt with no help. I won't vote for a tax that binds my children's voice to vote. I agree with the people above, we need to cut out the Pork and then people might have more faith in how our leaders manage our city. I'd vote for 5 years but not 20 and we should have waited till November to vote on this why waste $80,000, sad.
As far as I'm concerned they have no rights and should try to work off they're expenses. No favoritism
On the road use tax. A city that has a large factory base should be somehow calculated into monies received by the cities for road improvements
Terry you take away healthcare for state workers you'd BETTER take yours away also. Glad I can say I DIDN'T vote for you. Watch out farmers your next. When you talk about fairness you'd better look at yourself in the mirror.
