I have the utmost respect for the views expressed in this article. With that said, hear me out and try to follow my point.

The people who do all of the things outlined in this article are just simply those kind of people and are not the kind of people who change because they read an article like this. Additionally, most of the people who read these kinds of articles are already respectful, Android market commenters. Ergo, nothing is going to change until the stupid market commenters either switch to an iphone or get hit by a bus.

Some of my favorite market comments, especially when Android and rooting was in its infancy, were people commenting on apps that required a rooted device. That was when people's real personalities shined.

Thanks a good question on how....could it be that's its 21 months? All I know is I got the G1 the day it came out (preordered) and I called T-mobile a couple of weeks ago and asked them when my contract matured to the point that I could qualify for the full upgrade and the rep told me July 19, 2010. So it looks like I'm getting the Vibrant subsidized

I would really like to wait for something to come to Tmo with a physical keyboard. The Vibrant was the best option but alas, we were disappointed. I can''t wait anymore because I am experiencing the same touchscreen failure with my G1. I am going to give the Vibrant a try, my contract is up so I can get it subsidized. If Project Emerald pans out and the device is good enough and has a physical keyboard then I guess I will have to suffer, just like I did when I didn't get the Nexus One.

-1 for Motoblur. I can't stand it. Also, I don't like portrait phones like this and the Blackberry. Gimme a landscape oriented keyboard anyday.

Calorie Counter to stay thin and Epicurious to fatten up. Also, Google Maps usually is sufficient to use as a restaurant/food finder.

NICE WEBSITE! But, why are you taking racy pictures in a public bathroom? Are you that hard up for money?

Agreed 100%. I have had my G1 since launch day back on Oct 2008 and it has suited me well, but I would have easily have given it up if my contract was up in time to get a subsidized Nexus. That wasn't the case, but now the Vibrant comes along and its gonna be the best thing Tmo has going for it unless Project Emerald pans out :-)
