West Ham Till I Die : A 'Sporting Utopia' - An Opportunity Too Good to Miss?

I agree with Celtic Hull are not going to turn into world betters overnight they are in terrible form EVEN WORSE THAN US! and thats saying something. So if we can pick up a win and draw we'll be safe we might not even need that.If they loose to Villa midweek and we beat wigan or Fulham they'll have win there last three games and if they do that they fully deserve to stay up,but i won't be running down the bookies to put a bet on it happening,it's a straight run for the line and we've got a three point lead it's in our hands lets keep the faith guys, and put this awfull season behind us.I also have to say what a poor league it's been this season no one seems to want to win the title, and it's looking like there will possibly be three teams stay up with less than forty points, thats got to be some sort of record.

West Ham Till I Die : Vote: Player Performances v Sunderland

Great win today i was terrified Sunderland were going to nick a late one but we hung on,and there's nothing wrong with winnng ugly every now and then to be honest i wish we done it more.I have to say i've thought 34 points would be enough to survive for some time but did'nt post for fear of being shot down in flames,if we can pick up 3 points from our last 4 we'll be fine ,Hull will have to win 3 or win 2 draw 2,and i just don't think their going to do it momentum is everything this time of the season and Hull have'nt got it and there game in hand by the way is Villa. So fingers crossed we'll be ok now, i think we might even manage 15th if we can beat Wigan and Fulham.

West Ham Till I Die : Vote: Rate the Players v Arsenal

Well i have to say some of the comments on here are absolute rubbish, just because Arsenal were down to ten does'nt mean they were their for the taking.I found the performance frustrating rather than poor, possession and build up play were good at times but in the final third we were poor. Once again we're struggling up front the extra numbers are not creating the competition for places we'd hoped for,Mido and Franco did'nt muster a decent chance between them and Cole quite clearly isn't fit,McCarthy looked ok when he came on so hopefully he can find some form.As for the rest i thought deprela played well as did Tomkins and the rest were either average or very up and down,as for noble i just do'nt know whats happend to the lad. Arsenal came out second half set up not to conceed and had ten men behind the ball, and hit us on the break.Their for the taking get real there going for the title! we did'nt expect anything and did'nt get it.If the penalty had gone in the second half would of been very different, and by the way it should of been retaken Almunia was a mile of his line.

West Ham Till I Die : £32m + £30.75m + £17m (Plus mega salaries) = Extra Class

I reckon Owen could be worth a punt especially if we could get him on the same sort of contract he has at Old trafford,he only gets payed for the games he plays, given a run of games he will score.

Your probably right about Parker he would of lifted the side, and your right you should never go into a game thinking your going to lose whatever. But as for Parker i'd much rather he is available for the Bolton game than play last night and pick up a booking and not be there,he really has become a massive player for us.It really does make Upson look a bit of a mug when Parker isn't there,it's quite clear who the rest of the team look to for leadership.

Shrop nice to get some feed back from someone who was actually at the game,i think most of us on here so far watched it on dodgey streams or listened on the radio ,i did both.I think if your going to get a result at Old Trafford what ever side they have out you have to have confidence and belief and i just do'nt think we had enough of either last night.Back to back results against Brum and Hull although great results for us is not the sort of form to take up there and hope to get a result.

Celtic i agree but until Ilunga gets fit and rediscovers his form Specs is about the only real option available, nows not the time to be trying out Deprela. What Zola has to do is when we play the better teams is give Specs a bit more protection and i don't think Diamanti is the one to do it,i think i would of dropped Franco and let Diamanti support Cole and had Collison on from the start on the left, that would of given specs a bit more help i think.

Cal i know what your saying and the left back is a problem but i just don't think it's the right time to put Daprela in.In an ideal situation i would only have Specs as back up.

Agree HM this is no time to be blooding Daprela in the league he's one for next season not a relegation battle,we'll need calm heads for the Bolton game it's going to be a tough one and we don't have a great record against them home or away.Spectors home form is fine and at the moment i'd have him ahead of Deprela every time.

Ok guys time for a reality check after two good results at home we're beating ourselves up for loosing away at Old Trafford.Did'nt have a great link so gave up and listened on the radio so can't really comment on the second half but we did start well and if we were going to get anything from tonights game we really had to score first to give ourselves something to hang on to,lets face it united very rarely drop points at home and after a poor result at the weekend it was always going to be hard to get anything, and also with Vidic back they were a lot more solid at the back. But it does go to show how we have improved by the fact that we're alittle dissapointed with the performance and result,so lets move on and focus on the Bolton game it's our home form after all thats going to secure our survival. Also good news for us on the Pompy front looks like their going into administration on Friday unless they get a buyer so at least our 4 points are safe,do feel sorry for the Pompy fans though.

West Ham Till I Die : The Vetos That Will Scupper an Olympic Move

Firstly i don't believe for a second that the IOC and the WAF would have been given any legal standing on the future of the stadium, and as for Coe he's the front man for the planning commitee not the legacy, thats what the Olympic park legacy company is for and they will make decisions on finacial grounds, there will be huge pressure on them not to have another dome sinario on their hands. And i reckon Gold has touched on the way round the athletics legacy and thats building a new smaller dedicated athletics venue which would be funded by West Ham.There is no financial sence in the stadium staging athletics there is just no money in it thats why there is no decent athletics stadia in this country, there rarely used and don't generate enough revenue this a numbers game and athletics just does'nt add up.

Was'nt able to watch the game today because i'm at work but from what i can make out it was a good all round display topped off with a goal from our new hero Faubert. We can now go into the game at Old Trafford with confidence and also with alittle bit of pressure off. This means we can have a real go in that game it's a no lose situation everybody expects us to lose so anything from the game is just a bonus and also there's no other midweek games so we should'nt lose any league position if we lose,i reckon we might be able to nick a battling draw United have just conceeded 5 goals in 2 games if we can get a goal who knows!

I said a few weeks ago Faubert was winning a few people over and becoming a bit of cult hero, well deserved did'nt see todays game but his constant improvement over the last few months has been a real bonus,a well deserved reward for the effort he's put in, without doubt he's a first choice player now.well done mate!

Would be nice to get another but another clean sheet would be great, that would be just 3 goals conceeded in the last 6 games, the defence really has got back on form and that really gives the team the confidence to go forward when the defence is tight.

Off topic but i see Nouble got 75 minutes for West Brom last night i reckon this could be a great move for the lad,he'll get some good competitive football without the pressure he was under for us.Should come back a better player for it .

I know this may sound a bit silly but i don't suppose we could talk about tonights game,i know we normally have to many other things to debate other than football but i don't think we've had a more important game than we have tonight for many years. It's vital that what ever team the manager puts out there weather your a fan of his or not gets our full backing ,THE FANS HAVE TO BE BEHIND THE TEAM.!I don't care what the chairman has said ,our focus must be on the team tonight and not on Zola or the Chairmen i'll be there and i'll be right behind them from the of it's up to us to lift the team, i think we can go up to 14th if we win.COYI!!

Just heard Gold on radio 2 trying to defuse the situation,he said he spoke to franco regarding saving money, not sure Zola would agree with that, it seems like it was the first he'd heard of it in the papers.I don't know if this is how they work but it seems Sulli shoots his mouth off and then Gold tries to smooth things over, perhaps we need some Brummie imput here?

Jolly i've got a feeling Zola won't be our manager for are next game,he made his feelings very clear in his interview and i can't see how he will be able to carry on without some sort of public retraction from sullivan or some serious bridge building.I reckon this is a ploy to push Zola out rather than sack him.
