The Euro Mazda 3 is supposed to be getting a 2.2L diesel which may sit in the place of the U.S. 2.5L.

Thanks. :) No word on when the Mazdaspeed 3 will debut but the Detroit or Geneva Auto Show are definitely possibilities given their high profile nature. The Mazdaspeed3 was first revealed at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show so I'd put my bet on the International Geneva Motor Show in March 2009.

Panjjj, there hasn't been an announcement about the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 from Mazda yet but based on Mazda's past with the Mazdaspeed series we expect it to be manual only.
