Adam Robinson is so typical of a Ferentz recruit. Under the radar guy that fits the system. I'd bet that even Ferentz himself would admit to being suprised how well the AR fit has played out so far.

I remember watching the Iowa-Iowa State game in '77 wondering how the series could have gone three decades without a game. The two schools better think long and hard before canceling the annual game. It will be another 30 years before it gets going again. Guaranteed.

'Trophy' game? That piece of.......(biting tongue) hardware is the biggest embarrassment in all of sports. I remember getting a better trophy 35 years ago for rolling my first 200 in the saturday morning Juniors bowling league at Legion Lanes in CR. Just of of curiosity, is LL still there?

I don't know how his runs looked from where you were but on TV Paki looked nothing like last years version. He hit the hole at full speed and had a nice cut on one carry. He just might have bought himself some playing time in the future.
While others have quit the team for whatever reasons, Paki has hung in there and made the most of his opportunities. Enjoy your moment in the spotlight, #25.

As disappointing as it is losing the Badger game from every year to two every five years it is more exciting to be able to get my Husker-hate going each fall. As a youngster I realized that Nebraska was what I wished Iowa could some day be, which made my dislike of the bugeaters all the more intense. Today, I feel the Hawks are every bit the Shuckers equal and then some! As for Wisconsin, I wouldn't be suprised if in a few years the conference schedule is expanded to nine games to include that game... GO HAWKS!!!

Marc, thank you for all the great work you have done during the off-season to keep us up to date on all things Iowa (football).

My heart says Ferentz- not only has he made Iowa a perennial top 25 team, he's done it in, well, Iowa. Even though he is in a football hotbed, Richt gets the nod and a WOW for that amazing record and for doing it in the SEC.

Great news for the Hawks.

Along with Blythe, Iowa might have two future academic All American guards in this years recruiting class. While I enjoy all those who choose the Hawks, these student (then) athletes are especially gratifying.

You have to like a recruit like Fisher. With football genes he should be very coachable. As with so many former Hawkeyes, I can see S.T. stardom early in his career.

Any idea which of the three L.B. positions he projects to.
