Stan Lee's always great fun. I saw an interview with him once where they asked him if he could have super powers, what would they be, & he started his reply with:
"If I had super powers in real life... which is not to say that I don't". classic.

I had the Amiga 500 version, so I know what you mean.
I have also seen the game running on arcade machines that didn't have the lights (maybe arcades cutting costs?), which does make the nigh on impossible.

Uh.... no, I really didn't 0_o;
One of the wonderful problems with communicating in type, that you can't hear the tone in what's being said.
I really don't give a flying toss about political correctness, to be honest.

In the arcade there were prompts... but they were on the cabinet, not the screen, if you had to press a direction, the appropriate side of the screen would flash for a second... likewise the sword button flashed when you had to press that.

In my experience you're likely to find a lot of very computer literate people on Martial arts forums... and a fair few marital artists in glee clubs (or at least the closest thing that we have to glee clubs here).

I've been part of several Martial arts forums, all of which requite you to sign your posts with you full real name. I've never heard of anything untoward happening to any of the members, & the few arguments that did crop up tended to be resolved very quickly.
Facebook seems to do ok, & almost all it's users use their real names.
Hell, I'm posting here under my real name... with a photo of myself to boot, yet, I don't seem to be fearing for my safety.
If everyone's using their real names (which would be hard to enforce), harassment doesn't really become as much of an issue, because you have the real name of the person doing it.

The OP here said "I've also heard stories of people meeting someone on an online game and being raped by them in real life"... I can actually see a benefit to knowing the real identity of someone who does something like this... I'm sure the police can too.

I think the biggest problem with this is that it would simply be too hard to enforce... too easy for someone to make up an alias.

I'm wondering if we'll get the option of which language track to hear. Probably not.

You know that the entire financial report is on Nintendo.co.jp in english, right? You don't actually need someone to translate it.
Interesting to see that, when comparing Wii hardware sales to Software sales, that there are 7.74 games sold for every console out there.

It's actually just a wifi event, not from a download station. At least according to Serebii.net
