You really need to watch any given episode of "Psych" a few times before you catch all the puns and goofy references.
Great stuff!

How nice to read a bit of news that makes me smile for a change.
God speed them, indeed!

Rush was nominated for Best SUPPORTING Actor. I suppose they thought he stood a better chance of winning that one. Or they were afraid he might take some votes away from Colin Firth in the lead actor category.
(The Academy certainly plays fast and loose with the line between "leading" and "supporting," doesn't it?!?)

And, BTW, I agree 100% with you about the excellence of that movie!

It is unfortunate that "The Artist" has that title. It leads many to think it must be an artsy, pretentious, snooze-fest.
Not so. It is a charming, delightful tale made in homage to old Hollywood. The sets, costumes, and music are wonderful and the dog Uggie's performance by itself is worth the ticket price.
NO sucker punches for conservatives. NO sanctimonious preaching.
And yes, Dujardin absolutely deserves the Best Actor award.

BTW, my husband and I saw it first --- assuming it was purely adult fare --- but took the kids (aged 9 to 16) for a second viewing. They all LOVED it. It sparked their interest (and ours) in movie history.

I think the trailers for "Safe House" look much better than the ones for "The Vow'--- even though I, being a chick, like chick-flicks. So I'll bet that Denzel wins out this weekend.
But I am always proven wrong when I disagree with Sensei!

If Jewish Americans aren't worried about what Obama's stance toward Israel will be in a second term, they are nuts.
This is the same guy who once referred to Israel as "a constant sore." He'll want to "solve" that problem for his precious legacy and for the applause of "enlightened world opinion."
SCARY.

Does Koch think his policy will get better?!?
When Obama is re-elected, he won't have to worry about fundraising and votes anymore. He'll be completely free to fulfill his role as World Savior by solving the problem of that "constant sore," as he once called Israel.
Scary.

I also disagree. He was fine playing a dull, irresponsible, but handsome dunce. That is, he was fine playing himself.
(Alas for him, he has not aged well, so the "handsome" part no longer applies.)

Hey, they'll even attack people who DON'T threaten them.
They need devils for their Two-Minute Hate sessions. They HAVE to have villains to demonize and/or ridicule.
It's a NECESSARY feature of leftism, an essential part of the narrative.
