Manalive, Ray, you spin like a Democrat. Your whole shtick is conservative purity -- and yet when you're caught in a corner, you deny it.
Let's just agree that Reagan "had to deal with the liberals within the party and made accomodations to them".
When expedient, Ray, will you deny that that's what you said?

So to follow you around your logical circle, Ray, let's recapitulate your argument. You say that Reagan won because he was a pure conservative, and not prone to moderation. I, with a better memory, reply that conservatives were upset with Reagan for naming a Rockefeller Republican - a/k/a RINO - to be his 1976 running mate. You then reply that my point does not count, because 1976 is not 2010.
Well then, Ray, if anything before 2010 does not count, then why did you cite Reagan at all?

You mentioned Reagan: Did Reagan sellout when he nominated Senator Richard Schweiker (RINO, PA) to be his VP in '76?
