If you ever want to do that, feel welcome to talk to me or talk to us on the Pagan Podcasting messageboard. A bunch of us do this stuff outside of our podcasts and can probably give pointers on the logistical issues.

Personally, given how hotel convention environments are, if the cell network is somewhat reliable, you may want to install qik on your phone and use that to stream low-resolution audio live.

I think it's about time the issue of non-Natives who have barely a loose understanding of Native American practice, being considered experts on Native American practice - rather than the actual natives doing the actual practices! This is an issue that gets brought up quite frequently on Pagan Centered Podcast, and hopefully the broader community will become aware of this as well.

Personally, I think it's silly to group someone pretending to do Native American practice in with those performing relatively authentic practices. However, our legal system has proven itself to embrace silliness rather than common sense on many occasions.

So, you believe everyone who claims to be a victim of religious discrimination is legitimately being discriminated against. Furthermore, you believe it never has to do with someone's lack of productivity and actual breaking of the law (as we saw with certain "druids" a few years ago).

You said something discriminating, I'm just accentuating the stupidity of your discriminatory remarks.

In this particular scenario, since someone has already been fired, chances are that things happened the way the reverend said they did. This doesn't seem to be a "he said"/"she said" hullabaloo as the situations you reference often are.

Heya, have you made an audio ad for this yet? If so, can you send it to me (you know where to find me)? If not, I'll get one to air on the Pagan Centered Podcast and Pagan Centered Podcast: After Hours.

I didn't think it was a great idea to put Witch School in a fundie town in the first place. Additionally, it wasn't excessively bright to be making such a big splash in a fundie town before making the townsfolk more comfortable with such an unusual (to them) theology. There comes a time where "well, they'll just have to accept us *slams foot on floor and crosses arms*" just isn't an appropriate way to address an interfaith situation..

Also, let's focus on the fact that it wasn't the fundies that kicked them out, it was lack of internet connectivity for their internet-intensive school. The digital divide is real and it'd be greatly appreciated if people stopped turning a blind eye to it.

Dang accurate research. Can't we just look at something that appears to confirm our bias and be done with it?

I'm still trying to ban ice cream as it obviously leads to more crime. Just look at the crime stats, whenever ice cream sales are up, so is crime!!! *sarcasm*

I have to agree, it's a bit weird for JPW to miss such a glaringly obvious flaw in this article. Eh, we're all allowed to make mistakes once in a while.

How about just making the major political parties cover the costs of keeping Congress operational when they just use it as a stage for pointless partisan bickering? This way the folks that keep Congress running don't lose their jobs.

*sarcasm* Don't you know, congressmen are apparently paid by the hour. That's why Republicans are pushing House Resolution 694 so they no longer have to read any bills. Congress saves money if they don't actually read the bills they vote into law - they're paid hourly yanno. The Republicans are just trying to save us money, it has nothing to do with mindlessly fast-tracking bills like happened with USA PATRIOT.
