Our president needs to keep the contributions coming from Hollywood and that's why your citizen is being handed over. Apparently your leaders are obliged, via the laws on your books, to help our president keep his job for another four years.

The young man is about to be eviscerated in the public square to the raucous cheers of the entertainment industry.

Somebody call Mel Gibson, maybe he can spin off a modern day version of Brave Heart.

No, run don't walk away from this guy as fast as you can else you will stand in the reality of what Newt really is. Can you stand in that shame?

The guy does not deserve the office of the president anymore than Obama does or Clinton did.

Bang your heads against a wall until this fact sinks in: God may forgive the guy but this is politics and the politics says you get to walk away from your mistake but not the consequences.

So Newt needs to do the right thing and WALK AWAY from this race.

We can all give him a hug if we see him in church.

Newt is a narcissist and a craven one at that - so he never gets close to self awareness or any form of introspection of any value where he is concerned.

He believes he is it and that is why he is taking this huge gamble - he has no choice. If he looses this race he looses his ego and I don’t think he can handle that kind of loss with out suffering a breakdown.

And I take his public confession in the same light, he must have known the truth was about to break and he had to move quickly to circumvent the damage.

Newt's out of his mind, if he was really contrite he would walk away from the race.

Walk away like he has been telling everyone else to do...

What we have here is a failure trying to communicate and what the world is hearing is, “ I was lying before but now I've been forgiven... so believe me going forward.”

Nah.. I dont' think so. Do the right thing Newt and walk away from this race.

True enough but we all don't try and make what amounts to a cynical play for political points to salvage an opportunity at the brass ring.

He is insulting his base and it appears some of the base is falling for the sham.

Newt, a clown on a stage playing to an audience of potential fools.

He's a doo sh ba g, Ok perhaps that's over the top, but the guy is not a team player, he will not be able to work with Congress and will give the media the gift that keeps on giving like a pot of gold that refills every time you take nuggets out of it.

Here's another thought, he has that death warmed over appearance; He's overweight and is a heart attack or stroke looking for a place to happen.
He's a legend in his own mind and from the looks of things he may become a legend of some worth in the not to distant future. The stress of the campaign may prove to be too much for his flabbiness.
