Unless I missed it, can you not change the weather at all? (At least in online games) Nor does it even do anything nice like take the real local time and weather, so you are always playing a sunny afternoon. BORING.
My opponent disconnected on me and I was allowed to finish the game vs. the CPU, all my coins added up as though the game completed normally.
I don't think this is as good of news for NCAA as some of you guys think. The Historical players in Madden have always had the wrong numbers and such. Where as in the NCAA games, about the only thing missing was the players name. I could certainly see where a judge could rule in favor of the players in the NCAA case.
I have no problem with preorder bonuses, but it seems to me that offering demos, or extended demos, is counter-productive to the point of a demo. I don't mind early-access so much, but what EA is doing by giving people who ARE GOING TO BUY THE GAME ANYWAY the full quarters demo, where as in my opinion, it would be much better served giving everyone the full demo, and give the preorders early access, or more teams or something.
My buying the game hinges on the demo (That and not getting castrated by my girlfriend) and finding out that said demo will only be 1 minute quarters doesn't have me convinced I'm going to get a good feel for the game.
Congratulations EA, you've now ensured that the local rental chain gets my money before you do, that's if I don't decide to wait to just buy the game used anyway.
Why only give the extended demo to people who are already planning on buying the game?
I think it speaks volumes of this game that me, not knowing anything about UFC, downloaded this demo, loved it, and ordered the game from Amazon almost immediately. I find career mode to be a little boring, if only because the menus are cumbersome. Online fights are always fun, even when getting pummeled on, it never feels as though there is nothing you can do, just that the opponent knows what you are going to do (or gets lucky)
If they're holding block so you can't transition out, they can't be doing much of anything else, so either let them hold it until the ref stands you up, or hit them to knock them out (I believe if you hit them from underneath, they will have to reestablish the block.)
Online was far less annoying than it was the first time I tried playing it. Might actually try playing in a league now.
Woo free stuff! Sorry I don't have anything more constructive to say.
