I love the conversation here. Great question.

Personally what it boils down to for me is when I loose focus of who I am in Christ, and all the things he's empowered me to do.

I see this a lot. I think some people revel in the planning / visionary realm because everything at that level is fun and ideal. There is little to no conflict at the dreaming level. Everything is comfortable in the clouds.

Execution requires work, pain, awkward exchanges and accountability. The good news is that since few people are comfortable with this part of the equation, it's easier to stand out here by simply rolling up your sleeves and getting to work.

Great post. Simple. Profound.

Thanks for sharing Mike. It's great to have a resource like this that draws from so many great minds. I'll be sharing on my blog and with clients.

Hey Ron,

I'm looking forward to reading your review. I know a year from now it probably won't matter since they'll both likely be obsolete but I'm really torn right now between the Nook and the Kindle...There obviously isn't much info out yet on the Nook from users.

Hey Mike, thanks for this post...it's a huge help. I've been working on doing some of this but still need to improve on a lot of it.

Why do you think people are afraid to comment?

I get a lot of readers who will email me, tweet me, text me and almost everything else about my posts except for comment on my actual blog. When people see me in person they will spend 5 minutes visiting about a post but rarely actually comment even when I do some of the things you've listed here...

Is there just a percentage of people that will always be lurkers regardless?

Thanks again!

I'd love to hear anyone's ideas on how I might could have done this even better.

Great advice. Thanks Mike for laying this out so well! I struggle a lot with #5 because usually comments people make on my blog are not dynamic enough to respond to with more than a simple "Thanks for commenting" type reply. I guess I need to figure out how to improve #4 to remedy this?
