What a great idea! I love that you used video too share the story...it's great to see the smiling faces of the children you're working with!

Thanks for sharing Mike. It's great to have a resource like this that draws from so many great minds. I'll be sharing on my blog and with clients.

Hey Ron,

I'm looking forward to reading your review. I know a year from now it probably won't matter since they'll both likely be obsolete but I'm really torn right now between the Nook and the Kindle...There obviously isn't much info out yet on the Nook from users.

Good to hear about the 1:100 ratio.

Hey Mike, thanks for this post...it's a huge help. I've been working on doing some of this but still need to improve on a lot of it.

Why do you think people are afraid to comment?

I get a lot of readers who will email me, tweet me, text me and almost everything else about my posts except for comment on my actual blog. When people see me in person they will spend 5 minutes visiting about a post but rarely actually comment even when I do some of the things you've listed here...

Is there just a percentage of people that will always be lurkers regardless?

Thanks again!

I tried to work on the engagement aspect a little bit more in my latest post: http://tinyurl.com/ykuktpv

I'd love to hear anyone's ideas on how I might could have done this even better.

Great advice. Thanks Mike for laying this out so well! I struggle a lot with #5 because usually comments people make on my blog are not dynamic enough to respond to with more than a simple "Thanks for commenting" type reply. I guess I need to figure out how to improve #4 to remedy this?

Jon, I agree that it shouldn't even have to be said at all. Why are people willing to do things online that they would never dream of doing in a public setting?

Great job Mary. Thanks Mike for allowing guests to post...fun! One thing Dave Ramsey mentions to me frequently is how he's had to work his butt off for 20 years to become an overnight success.

Personally, I am just now logging around 10,000 hours in professional selling and I feel like there's still so much to learn. Love the BOC line :-). I guess in sales that would be TOP (Time on Phone).

Thanks for sharing! Nice job on putting out a post worthy of passing Mike's gauntlet for approval. :-)

This is sad for all the reasons stated. I can't imagine that they are having that much negative influence though. '14 members and growing'?

I think the only ones really losing are those 14 people...not mainstream Christianity.

Do you think anyone else is taking them seriously at all? (good or bad)
