Another thing that bugs me about some Amazon reviewers that wasn't mentioned here are the people who give one stars because: 1) they think Amazon sucks, 2) the publisher's set price is too high, 3) the PO delivered it late, 4) the cover was damaged. And several other idiot reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the book. I don't have any books on Amazon, but as a purchaser I find it very annoying.

Big Hollywood : Whoopi Goldberg on Communism: 'On Paper It Makes Perfect Sense'

Well that explains why Hollywood keeps turning out so many stinko movies. They must have looked good on paper too. What a shame so many of them never seem to learn from that -- either with movies or systems of government.

George (or Kyle or anyone), do you know how that Amazon "readers who bought this also bought" list works? How does Amazon decide which books to offer to people who buy a certain type of book? I'd thought maybe they favor books put out by publishers, so how does an independently published ebook get on some of those? I'm not an author, but I'm helping a friend with his ebook. From what you (and others) have written here, I think I need to be a lot more aggressive getting review copies out. I've sent a few out but reviews are slow coming. Do you find a lot of people who get copies don't review?

Big Hollywood : Entertainment Weekly Peddles False Narratives on Terrorism, Hollywood Racism

Hollywood puts itself in a Catch-22 situation with hiring minority actors. If a minority actor plays any kind of villain role, the anti-defamation societies go crazy and liberals yell racism. They ignore the fact that movies, TV shows, etc., generally have, if not villains, at least a combination of good/bad, nice/unpleasant characters to get the conflict and action that makes for an interesting story. Since they hesitate to hire minorities to fill these roles, they limit the amount of minorities they can hire.

I'm happy with my Kindle, but if you want to save money (towards buying Red Menace #2:Drowning in Red Ink next Valentine's day), Amazon has a free Kindle app for your computer. You can try it out there first and transfer it to your Kindle should you buy one. And you may want to wait a few weeks. A cheaper $79 model is coming out shortly.

Big Hollywood : Want to Know Why Hollywood Conservatives Stay In the Closet? Meet the

Maybe it's time we find out who his clients are and do a boycott of them? If they haven't got the decency to shun this sorry excuse for a man, maybe a little economic pressure will get to them. Or at least make some of us feel better. I don't know why anyone is surprised anymore when things like this happen and Hollywood and the mainstream media are silent. We know the bias exists, Hollywood isn't even trying to conceal it. It's important to report it, but maybe we should stop endlessly asking "why" and "how could they." They do it because they can, they like it and to bully anyone who doesn't subscribe to their ideology into keeping silent.

I wish Breitbart would start a site just for books. Nothing wrong with posting them here, but we need more. There are so many sucker punches now, like the Marx references. And good books with conservative themes which get buried or are self-published and don't get noticed. With all the children, young adult and teen books being published, it must be hard for parents to keep track of what their children are being exposed to. Men's Adventure and pulp fiction have a hard time finding mainstream publishers. When The Destroyer series moved from Gold Eagle to Tor, it only lasted four books. I think Tor, which is mostly sci-fi, was ashamed of publishing it. The surviving author, Warren Murphy, has gotten the rights back to most of them and they're being put up on Kindle. And Warren's writing a new adventure of Remo and Chiun to join them. James Mullaney, one of the Destroyer ghost and later co-writer (and Big Hollywood contributor) has just published the first in what he hopes will be a series -- The Red Menace #1: Red and Buried. I hope both series take off. The Internet's been such a great force for conservativism, I'm confident that the opportunity for self-publishing it opened up will do a lot to bring more of a balance to reading material.

Big Hollywood : I'll Drive Him: George Lopez Says He'll Move to Canada If Palin Wins

It takes real courage, devotion to duty and political knowledge to stand up in the Senate, and in a proud, ringing voice vote "present." Obama's presidency has shown the same decisiveness and political expertise. You'll notice Lopez isn't crazy enough to say he's going back to the land of his ancestors. Alec Baldwin, Cher, and those other almost-expatriots should think of running for office. They've already got the breaking of promises down pat.

Big Hollywood : 40 Years: Remembering 'All In the Family'

It always amazes me that rabid liberals like Norman Lear and Carol O'Connor can create (even if it's based on Steptoe, Lear did alter the character a lot) and bring depth to a likeable conservative character, and yet remain unmoved by it. Neither of them modified their views even though they had to get inside Archie's skin, think about what made him tick. Guess Lear never got over his daddy issues. Usually kids smarten up when they get older. I guess liberals stay like Peter Pan; they never mature and they never change.

Big Hollywood : Morning Call Sheet: Pee Wee, Star Wars, Aquaman, and a Happy Friday to You All

I thought Pee Wee returned a year or two ago with an off Broadway show that was filmed and shown on HBO? Or was it filmed a long time ago and just being shown again? Yawn either way. I never watched the original, though I did like Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I love this new Morning Call sheet. It lets you post several items that aren't big enough for articles of their own. And I love the Classic Pick too. I've been disappointed that the "Today's Pick" page was abandoned.

Dunn was a trooper. He was in constant pain his condition (which wasn't dwarfism, it was a severe form of arthritis) but he never let that stop him. There's a good interview with Phoebe Dorin, the woman who played Antoinette, here: http://www.nctc.net/hazard/conrad/michaeldunn/dor.... They had a nightclub act which Michael Garrison, one of the creators of WWW caught, and he thought Dunn would make a great villain, and having him and Dorin sing in the show would be a good hook.
