Big Journalism : Democratic Underground Hides Occupy Assaults, Smears Brandon Darby

We have the same Stalinists on a local forum I post on. It is simply Stalinism and Fascism. Those two horrible monsters have reared their ugly heads in the youth that have been infected by the universities and the radicals who make them believe they can find fame and common noteriety with them. Once kids wanted to join bands to get attention. Today they want to join bands of marauding anarchists and Marxists to get attention. Most have no idea the destruction they leave in their wake of striving to get attention.

Breitbart.tv : Report: Food Network's Paula Deen Has Diabetes

Thanks. I could not be condescending about someone who has brought so much pleasure and fun to her viewers. Who am I to judge her? She's got a medical problem that she needs to address and I wish her the best in getting it handled.
Actually the weight around her middle is indicative of the her Diabetes. When your cells become insulin resistant (which is the stage before Diabetes Type II fat accumulates around the middle indicating that the cells are rejecting the nutrients for the muscles and instead putting them in the fat cells which are most numerous around the gut, under the arms and on the back. Thin people can develop type II which is more indicative of genetics and not lifestyle. But for whatever reason one develops type II there is a rather simple dietary plan to reverse it . Does it work for everyone? Don't know. It worked for me. I have told other friends about it and they lost weight and reversed their Diabetes. In fact some actually stopped showing signs of other medical conditions they had. If you get a chance pick up Gary Taubes book \"Why We Get Fat and What To Do About It\". Also Dr. Ben Lerner's \" Cruise Ship or Hospital Bed\" and Dr. Joel Fuhrman's \"Eat to Live\". Those were three of the books that I compared for ingredient substitution.

I'll be glad to send you the recipe for my fried chicken with the gravy recipe as well. :)

Thank you for your email. My son has encouraged me to write on this. It would more than likely just be a newsletter concerning recipes, suggestions, observances.

Type II can also be brought on by steriods and chemicals. But I truly think no matter the cause it can be reversed.

I can only tell you my experience. I have a father and brother with diabetes. My mother is in the Syndrome X category. So yes genetics does play a part but in my case being genetically predisposed I still was able to reverse the readings by doing two things. All I did was research how the brain reacts to the hormone leptin, and how the cells react to those brain signals and what various foods inhibit or promote cell acceptance of insulin. Thin people do develop diabetes for the same reason fat people have it, Their cellular linings are hardened and will not accept insulin. So the pancreas sends out more insulin until the cells finally just don't react to it anymore, ergo diabetes. There is a plethora of data on this one just has to have the inclination to look for it and process the data properly. I changed the ingredients of my southern cooking without changing the taste. And as a Southerner I'd put my iron skillet fried chicken up against anyone anywhere. Not to brag..just fact. I found a way to use age old recipes of comfort food from my mother, substitute the various ingredients that were reactive to inhibiting the cells to accept the insulin.. still lost weight and reversed my diabetes. It's all in the ingredients. So what I'm telling you is that you can reverse it...fat or thin. I've done it. As for Paula Deen, unless she is Type 1 then she would have the same success as I had if she follows what I did. It takes motivation. I was motivated by the nutritionist at the diabetic clinic telling me she knew I would fail to reverse the diabetes using diet. That was my starting motivation...to show her it could be done. From there it's been a fun time to take my recipes and convert them to the differing ingredients while keeping the original taste.

Being a Southern Belle myself, I have an affinity for Paula. Been a southern cook as an advocation my entire adult life. I too got diagnosed with type II diabetes last summer (I also was on the 4 year anniversary of beating colon cancer). I won't go into the whole story of what led me to figure out how to reverse the diabetes but I was able to reverse it in less than 3 weeks with diet only..also lost 40 lbs within the 4 week period. The doctors and nutritionists were stunned. I researched and put together a diet plan that was a 2 week venture into changing ingredients for all my favorite dishes (even fried foods) and then a maintenance plan (including wine and some cocktails). I went from 284 blood sugar with an AC1 reading of 7.2 to 89 blood sugar with an AC1 of 4.8 in 3 weeks. In total (even with holiday eating) I've lost 70lbs and kept normal to below normal ranges. So it can be done...I have done it. It's all about the ingredients and making them taste and look like what you're used to. And BTW- I never took any of the drugs prescribed by the doctors to lower the levels...I did it all by changing the ingredients.
