The previous government was willing to hit back, though it did not understand at all the nature of Islam as the root of global conflict. But the current government is unreservedly sympathetic to Islamic professional victimhood.

In foreign policy in only a short time, our government has bullied Israel, embraced the "Palestinians," snubbed Britain and the free nations Central Europe, snuggled up to the Russians and to Syria, backed the Iranian regime against its people, and backed the recently deposed would-be dictator in Honduras.

In America today, Muslims can say any hateful, seditious thing they want. They can slander our our culture and flaunt our laws, and they will be cheered on by the leftists. But anyone who criticizes them for that behavior is demonized as an insensitve, racist bully.

Our borders are a joke. Our immigration system is a breached dam.

Yes, I think conservatives and centrists abdicated the battle long ago without realizing it.

I think generally that conservatives and centrists see education as a foundational phase in life followed by a lifetime of productive work. The radical leftists see education--indoctrination in collectivism that would transform society into their utopian model--as their "work.' They settled into the university system, entrenched themselves there permanently, and gradually took over the entire educational establishment., from kindergarten onwards. For at least a generation, they have been poisoning minds with relatiivism and societal self-hatred. This last election is the fruit of their dedicated labor.

Because of this corruption of education, I am not sure at all that the familiar back and forth cycles of right-left governance can continue. The leftists in charge right now are striving mightily to cement their model in place permanently--making us just like a banana republic. Just a few more changes and there will never be a conservative or centrist government again--without a revolution.

I'll turn 60 next month. In all my years, I have never seen anything like this.

The radicals of 1968 have taken over our federal government and all the large cities. At the federal level, Mr. Obama is racing through one radical socialist program after another, any one of which would normally have taken a leftist president his entire stay in office to enact. Obama foisted this "obamination" on us in just 6 months, and there is nothing to stop him from going further. The resistance has almost totally collapsed.

Each of his radical programs precipitates another economic crisis larger than the previous one, and sets the stage for more such crises to come. With each crisis, the federal government steps in to grab more power to handle "the unforseen emergency."

At the moment, we are on course to follow Britain. (Our current "leaders" seem to think European socialism is the ideal societal organization.) I hope, for everyone's sake, we can stop the slide before it is too late. But even if we do, a lot of the damage Obama is inflicting will be permanent. That's his plan, I think.

You can tell who the "leader of the free world" is by who attacks him as a bitter enemy. Today, Mr. Obama--the President of the United States--is not the leader of the free world--Geert Wilders is.

The free world will not be free much longer if the obamas of this world remain in political power. Mr. Obama is crippling the United States of America. Displaying flippant ideological arrogance, profound ignorance of history, fascistic abuse of power, and disrespect for American heritage, he has abdicated the fight to preserve freedom in the West. That freedom was won by our forebears through centuries of toil, sweat, and struggle against slavery and barbarism. Mr. Obama dishonors that sacrifice. He apologizes to today's slavemasters and barbarians. He gives comfort to tyrants, thugs, and Islamic pirates across the globe. "We are weak. Come attack us. Come loot our civilzation. We are sorry for who we are." Curse this wretched man and his wretched ideas.

Here is what I think he means: HC sees himself as having a sane and properly informed perspective amidst lunatics of both the left and the right (read his little bio). He is dismayed that the left is not defending Western civilization from Islamists (from the extremists, that is: reasonable people like him (!) KNOW that most Muslims are really moderates). He is further dismayed that the only people on the right who are mounting any kind of defense are the far out nutcase whackjobs--that is, all of us anti-jihadists here at JW (as if everyone here is right wing, another thing he KNOWS). He is saying that while we at JW are, in fact, trying to defend Western civilization, we automatically attack everything Muslim and Islamic just for the perverse supremacist pleasure it brings to us. We don't actually want to win the struggle, because then there would be no easy targets to demonize. We just enjoy mocking and insulting other cutlures.

Bottom line: He is impuning our motives. He has judged us to be blind-eyed bigots. He has judged us to be his intellectual inferiors.

He did not say "I will immediately launch an internal investigation to see if there are any more such perpetrators plotting jihad at my mosque, and report back to you."

He did not say "I will make a special public sermon at the next Friday service to hammer home to my congregants that our first political loyalty is to America and not to any other power or entity--church and state are separate in the USA, and rightly so."

And so on. Just weasel words and Islamic victimhood is all we got.

The evidence is right in front of your nose. The iman did not do or say any of the following, at least some of which any normal peaceful person would have:

He did not say "I call on all Muslims everywhere to support our American troops overseas defending freedom and hunting down the perpetrators of 9/11."

He did not say "I call on all Muslims everywhere to report jihadist plans to the FBI and to U.S. Government authorities."

He did not say "I am embarrassed that such a person could get these hateful ideas at our mosque" (he said instead that he was outraged--that his mosque, and Islam, got bad PR!).

He did not say "I will make sure in future, at my mosque, that every congregant knows that Islamist extremism is wrong and forbidden" (he said it was merely "frowned upon").

Yes, perfectly stated.

"...Muslims are Americans, too..."

If you subscribe to Sura 9, then you are not an American, no matter where you were born, or what you call yourself, or what your identification paperwork says, or what the color of your skin is, or what ethnic group you belong to.
