Questions:
If Puerto Rico votes to become a State, is that it?
Does Congress have to approve it?
A majority of the States?
(What's the Consitution say?)
Thanx

The only valid objection I can see the Left making is that taxpayer money was spent on the SEALS and military hardware that went into the production of ACT OF VALOR, but taxpayer money did not bankroll the production of AVATAR (but it's OK that the Left picks our pockets for everything else, for crying out loud). Anyway, I'd like to see one of the sniveling critics argue this point with one of the SEALS. http://www.inthesetimes.com/article/12791/forgett...

One of the problems is that people get better after they've failed. Try, try again and all that. Not many conservatives go into movies, and when they do, they usually don't hit it out the park first time up. Libs can fail and fail and their like-minded enabling producers will make excuse after excuse after excuse and give them chance after chance after chance. It's not like they're losing their own money. More conservatives and independent thinkers must get into filmmaking and producing and try, try again. Or. I can just catch up on my reading. :-)

Well, Takei had the triple whammy of being gay and dealing with racial prejudice and IIRC was interned for being of Japanese descent during WWII. No excuse for being a bore, but he has overcome some mega-major obstacles, as opposed to other actors or people in Life that had the right look or whatever. I remember reading a lengthy portion of Takei's autobio back during my stand-around-in-the-bookstore-during-my-lunch-break days, and he recounts praising Richard Burton for his generous bonhomie and he blasted Alec Guinness for his horrible job at portraying a Japanese man in a film that he costarred in. Interesting stuff.

Laff-of-the-Day:
"'The hell with my profits! There are some things more important than profits,' I think any studio chief who said that today would be looking for another job tomorrow." --Steven Ross, USC History Professor (as qouted in the documentary THE BROTHERS WARNER)
Has this guy left the Ivory Tower and seen any movies recently?

Yeah, it was nice seeing their little furrowed brows when they tried to reconcile these opposing beliefs.

Not only did the PC crowd chafe at highlighting the inherent hypocrisy of elitist leftists, but they didn't appreciate the fact that it was filmed in English and had a non-Mexican director. Gotta love the film, if only for those reasons alone.

I know he's a peanut farmer, but he looks like Mr. Potato Head.
