OMG!!! Let me make it simple for you.

1) The author claims that non-interventionists use a quote by George Washington on "non-entangling alliances" to support their stance.

2) The author does not give any quotes or links to examples of non-interventionists quoting George Washington to support their stance.

3) My point is that the AUTHOR is misquoting non-interventionists, and that the quote that would more appropriately be discussed is the one by Thomas Jefferson in his inaugural speech.

4) By using the George Washington reference instead of the Thomas Jefferson reference, he's missing the point that non-interventionists are making.

5) I did read the article and I understood it thoroughly - thus my response that the point is ill-made that doesn't address the actual popularly used reference.

6) YOUR lack of reading comprehension does not constitute arrogance, ignorance and paranoia on my part.

Smarty pants - I mean he gives no proof of Ron Paul supporters claiming George Washington said it.

That link is just to Washington's speech. If you read my posts to try to comprehend them instead of worrying about making a smart retort you'd see that.

All I'm saying is that I disagree that wars and foreign aid (foreign entanglements) are somehow GOOD for the US economy.

But those dollars aren't coming from production in the US. They're being printed in the US and in most cases, being sent to manufacturers overseas.

I was responding to the original post: "Lets not forget that without some eye to these "foreign entanglements" our economy would probably be about 1/50th of its current size."

Has nothing to do with foreign trade.
