Growing up with a healthy amount of culturally-bred guilt, I too find myself in this predicament. Researching and sticking with a charity is terrific advice. I also find that as a designer, my services are welcome, and as money is tight all around, it's comforting to know that I have something in addition to the actual paper money to contribute, since I don't always have the paper money readily available. I regularly look for opportunities to help where I am able, and find lately that consulting with other small businesses in an area where I am especially competent is not only helping others but is personally fulfilling as well.

I'm always looking for new sources for entrepreneurs, and always love it when something is free! Hope that I am one of the first 5, I'm all signed up on the Information Age network and plan to jump back on there and look around. Thanks for the offer!
