Big Government : Ann Wagner Bests Ed Martin in Missouri's 2nd District on All Fronts

You make a lot of statements but aren't pointing us to any facts. -- Riehl reported 153 donors for Martin; Truth is 550 donors for Martin FACT: FEC reports are black and white. They are online. Please send me where Martin's report lists 550 donors or where this magical number comes from. -- Riehl reported that he did "independent investigation"; Truth is that he merely copied old, discredited screeds from Missouri anarchists and leftists. FACT: You have absolutely no idea about his motives. This is merely speculation and not anywhere near truth. --Riehl reported that polls have no meaning; Truth is polls show that Ed Martin's name recognition and favorability are excellent FACT: A single poll, that Martin paid for and that he refuses to release the question that were asked claims that he has higher name rec. This is true, but as pointed in the article its a dubious poll. Hypothetically even if the poll was legit by a real independent source there are still how many months till election day? Unbias olls this far out in 2010 had Robin Carnahan winning. Look it up.

Facts eh? You bash Fired Up Missouri and pretend like you are an insider because you know that the Carnahans are linked to the blog. Fired Up isn't a hub of conservative ideals so for the sake of argument remove that part from the blog post and discredit the rest. Oh wait... Nobody is arguing that Ed Martin didn't a good campaign last cycle to try to unseat a dem and lost. That doesn't mean he is magical a better candidate this cycle. I made a diagram: Ed > Russ Ann > Ed Ann > Russ Nobody is saying that because Wagner may raise more (we have only had one quarter so honestly who knows who raises more?) she is a better candidate. But money helps get out her strong grassroots and community driven message. For all we know that by the primary Ed could outraise Ann 10-1, its almost like the Martin supporters have already conceded that their candidate can't raise money. Not that Wagner can, but that theirs can't. I can also assure you that Ann is NOT the status quo. She is a leader and an influential Conservative Republican who has helped elect Conservatives, many of which Ed supporters adore for decades. The smear tactics and labels being cast on her have no place in politics.

What is troubling here is how Ed's supporters don't attack merit in the article or even comments. Instead they consider anyone who disagrees as a RINO or establishment. If Ann is a RINO or not conservative, Martin must be too since I can't find a policy disagreement they have. Maybe you guys can point one out to me? Wagner is grassroots, she travels the district daily. Also I'm just curious, if Ed is so anti-establishment why was he he chief of staff to a governor.. you don't get more establishment than that... If Ed has 550 (or whatever his changing number is) of donors is why doesn't his report show that? He sent an email to supporters saying he was adding them up, why wouldn't you release the list so there would be no doubt? As for Ed being the clearly on true conservative, that's silly, Ed has exactly as many votes as Ann. If you apply your own criteria to your candidate Martin it doesn't even hold up. The reality is that Wagner is conservative and she has dedicated most of her life to conservative causes and helping conservative candidates. She invites her supporters into her house to kickoff her campaign, she is a team player and she is a true conservative and the best choice for the district. Which for the record she lives in, raised her kids in and served her community.
