If they want a VAT tax, FINE! Get rid of every federal income tax.
I'll tell you, never. It is human nature. The nation must be vigilant to never allow certain groups to obtain favor, prosperity, or advancement based on the color of one's skin or who one sleeps with.
Forget about free speech for a moment, (I'm sure they'd love that) and talk about equal protection under the law. The term "all men are created equal" was especially meant to apply to the law. This is blasphemous to the constitution to provide more "protection under the law" to blacks, hispanics, and now gays, than whites. If "equality" is the goal of civil rights leaders and the homosexual lobby, how does one justify this? One who is intellectually honest with one's self cannot. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly apparent that "equality" is not the goal. The goal is favortism. This is the same reason that black leaders are so resistant to changes in affirmitive action laws. How far will this go? I hate to sound cynical here, but will this be allowed to progress to the point where whites are relegated to a persecuted minority? The excuse being that it's payback for slavery? At what point will the insatiable appetite for power be satisfied?
On a sunny summer day, at a beachfront bar in St. Augustine, Florida, I got a glimpse of what Margaret Thatcher meant to England. I, destined to deploy to Iraq with the army in months, an older gentleman who was a door gunner in a HUEY in Vietnam, and a man in between who was a Royal Marine who served in the Faulklands, passed the time over a beer. They offered their advice to me, and wished me well. When the talk turned to politics, we all reminisced about Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. The Royal Marine said in his mellow English accent, "She put the Great in Great Britain, my friend." Enough said.
Is there a red shirt with a stain on it now? Probably.
Eleven days into his presidency he gets nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? What in the hell did he do to deserve that one? I guess just being the messiah was enough. He and Jimmy Carter belong together. Let's just hope he's not as vocal as an ex-one term president as Carter. I really don't know if I could stand it.
Maybe a 3/5th's Compromise?
You better believe it's significant. Those will be used to pad numbers in Democratic districts and win more money and power for them. Damn right it's significant.
