I've heard some hilarious dubs for tv, but this has to top them! "Monkey-fightin'" is he referring to himself and the passengers as primates??? Some people could take that down the racist road. But I would never do that. LOL
On another note: the other day I caught Bad Boys II on tv and let me tell you: UNWATCHABLE!!!!
Don't mess with special features!
Band of Brothers was absolutely amazing. As a Spielberg fan and a WWII fan this will most deff be worthwhile to see and eventually pick up on Blu!!! It will be strange to see little "Timmy" all grown up! I've never seen a better WWII movie made by anyone than Steven, and this is just going to add to that list!!!
Ah hey no problem. First time I had ever been mistaken as a 20yr old lesbian...lol. My girlfriend got a good laugh out of that!!! Looking forward to seeing you on further posts!
Actually I happen to be 23. My g/f commented on the Twilight thing. Most folks I've spoken to don't know who he is or what kind of influence he had on cinema in his earlier years. When I bring up the fact that Nicolas Cage is his nephew or that he and Lucas started American Zoetrope... they think I'm on my lips. :)
So I started reading the books in high school. I'm on the verge of 21 and in college, and i still enjoy the books. I think its utterly presumptuous of you to think all twilight fans are stupid. I have to agree that Stephanie Meyer is no Shakespeare, but it's mostly about the story anyway. Which isn't just about a pedophile vampire, its a love story. So sue us girls who swoon over the thought of the perfect guy and living forever. Anyway, i think you should take that statement back, its rather rude.
P.S. I didn't care for the movie, the cheesyness and bad acting made me want to vomit.
(I'm now probably thought as one of those crazy twilight fans, who only add fuel to the fire now huh?)
Its so sad that younger folks have no clue who this great man is.
My g/f and I also feel like some kitten kicking... maybe some baby punching while we're at it!!!!
The remakes need to stop. I can understand some older flicks getting redone, but not movies that a lot of us grew up with and remember quite well.
A lot of the reasoning behind remakes lately is CGI, well I say crap on that. The on-set visuals created for movies like this in the 70's and 80's MADE those movies what they are.
Wow! Didn't know Solo was from Germany!?!?!? Puts a whole new perspective on Star Wars for me. And I thought I knew everything about it, boy was I wrong!
One can't forget Steve McQueen in "The Hunter" in 1980. He played a retired and aging bounty hunter who is realising he can't be doing what he's doing any longer. He made the movie while terminally ill and died 3 months after its theatrical release. So in a way he new he was on his way out, but then again he did go to Mexico for the "cure" that killed him... so good luck figuring that one out.
