If you are already jailbroken with Spirit on 3.1.3, just search for ultrasn0w on Cydia. Only reason to downgrade to 3.1.2 is if you want to use Pwnage to jailbreak and install a custom 4.0 firmware. Best to stay on 3.1.3 and wait for the new jailbreak which should be out pretty soon after Apple's rumored firmware update next week. Google for an older version to download, there are plenty out there. After uninstalling and reinstalling the older one, make sure to move or remove the file iTunes Library.itl in the music/itunes folder. It will give you an error saying the file is from a newer version and won't open itunes if you don't. I believe at the apple site there are instructions to rebuild your library after deleting the iTunes Library.itl file. Just make sure you are using iTunes 9.1.1 or an earlier version before trying spirit, because iTunes 9.2 will send the phone into a boot loop with Spirit.
