Finally! I can't wait to see more. I'm loving what I'm seeing so far. Already dreaming of lounging in the shade of some of those trees.
Aww Ricky Ticky Tavi. Reminds me of my childhood.
It's kind of cool to see someone young taking an interest in such a thing. Most kids today are like, "Oh cool!" then ten seconds later they've moved on without a care. It's very nice to see a young person who has a greater attention span than a gold fish, and who is interested in the goings on of her community. I don't see how that takes away from the article at all.
I still pray for you Officer Allen, as well as for the capture of the person/people who did this.
My prayers are with this boy and his family. It's great that they can remain so strong together through such a tough situation. And kudos to the groups that got together to do such a nice and wonderful thing for a little boy and his family.
If you do your research... which I doubt you truly capable of... the prosecutors admitted to seeking jury members (through the legal jury selection process) that would be more disapproving of the lifestyle Mechele had lived. Hardly a fair trial. And Mechele wasn't the one to take out a life insurance policy on Ken, It was HIS policy and HE changed it before his death. Get your facts right. And just because a person takes out a life insurance policy on a murder victim before the death, does NOT make it evidence. Any lawyer, judge, or person of reasonable intelligence knows that to be circumstantial at best.
The state did NOT have a case of any strength. She wasn't convicted using evidence or even reliable testimony. The prosecution laid it's entire case on the fact that she was a "dancer" and her lifestyle was therefore the only possible reason she was convicted. Which is why her previous conviction was overturned.
Zinger is right though. This woman was not convicted with evidence or even reliable testimony. There is NO evidence to prove the charges. Therefore she was convicted based on her previous lifestyle. Seriously... this state has done a serious injustice to this woman.
I don't think anyone said EVERYTHING is the education systems fault. If you are a teacher you need to learn not to overly generalize. Yes, the families of these children should be held accountable, but who can make these parents get it together?? No one. Therefore there needs to be a solution or several put in place outside the homes of these children.
