hey, let's talk in hypotheticals. I love foreign policies based on hypotheticals--they are so effective. Logic--by its definition--implies the use of facts and given conditions to arrive at a conclusion. Logic cannot rest on hypotheticals. Logic suggests that the Iranian theocracy maintains its power by blaming its woes on Israel. The Iranian President and its Theocratic ruler maintain the support of its people by verbally assaulting Israel. The Iranian government needs Israel to exist so that it maintains power. Therefore, logically speaking, Iran has no incentive to attack Israel. If Israel falls, they fall. This is the same principle that the Democrat and Republican powerbrokers use. They pretend to hate each other, this builds a base of supporters who blame the other party for their woes. Thus, instead of resting the blame on the "establishment" for our country's woes, the people blissfully fight the other party and the true culprits are never voted out . Republican leaders hate Democrats so much that they attend the same parties, vacation together, and even share a round of golf.

Second, the fact that he chose to serve his country when called rather than make lucrative amounts of money in private practice speaks to both his honor and character. Finally, the fact that you have deflected this commentary from a debate on the validity of another foreign entanglement to a baseless attack on his character shows that you and your buddies lack any credibility on the subject. Let me reiterate. If you are so keen on another war, join the foreign service or a UN peacekeeping unit, donate your own funds to the war--and stop volunteering your countrymen.

First of all, it takes more than simple plutonium to make a weapon. Furthermore, if you are so concerned about nuclear waste, the following countries either produce nuclear waste or are in the active process of creating massive nuclear facilities: China and Russia currently produce massive amounts of nuclear material and export it to foreign countries for disposal (so does France); Egypt, Nigeria, Vietnam; Libya; Saudi Arabia; Ghana; and Venezuela are all in the process of developing their own modern nuclear power plants. Maybe we should bomb them as well.

Admitting that our foreign policy has increased hostilities is not "apologizing" for America. It is acknowledging that our foreign policy is not producing the results that our leaders claim. Judging by donations from military personnel, it appears that our sons and daughters that we send to fight the wars that cowards clamor for, are in agreement with Dr. Paul.

The "Crusades" were defensive? Perhaps the First Crusade led by Richard the Lion Heart could be justified as defensive--not the disastrous second-fourth Crusades. Regardless, our interceding in Middle-eastern affairs (aside from the attack on Afghanistan which Ron Paul supported) can hardly be defined as defensive and your comment has no relevance to this discussion. Iraq and Iran did not pose security threats when we began our meddling. We wonder why Iran is hostile towards us. We overthrew their leader--the Shah; we armed Saddam Hussein who then gassed and brutalized the Iranian people; we initiated multiple sanctions; and our politicians regularly make public threats against the nation. Iran is not invading Canada or Mexico. They aren't Nazi Germany or the Arab/ Berber Moors.
