Most of the people who call themselves "conservationists" are suckers being fleeced by fast talking con artists. (The suckers being what I call "condo-conservationists".) They don't have the least idea of nature or life in the wild.

"Night soil" by it's self, is not a problem, not if it's properly aged. The problem is that people and businesses dump toxic chemicals into the sewer system, and sometimes cities run storm drains into the sewer plant. Storm drains = road run off and whatever poisons run off the lawns.

They would have a lot of deaths even at best. They have so many more because of corruption and stupid laws. This began mainly when the Prime Minister of the time decided to follow Castro's example. He was not ruthless enough, but he was effective enough to destroy their hope. (He is also the one who outlawed all firearms, a law enforcable only against those with something to lose, or steal. The criminals only need a handgun and a couple of cartidges and they can steal everything they want.)

This does not tax the rich, it taxes those with a large cash flow. The very people (and companies) that have employees. ........
The idle rich, the ones the Left thinks should be taxed the heaviest, are not touched at all. Consider; most Congressmen and women are rich. Does anyone think they will tax themselves into poverty? Any tax that /might/ touch them is going to have loopholes so they can avoid paying the tax. Congress critters also hang out with the idle rich, and get donations from them. Tax their buddies? Fat chance.
