Breitbart.tv : Maher To Limbaugh: I Can Call Palin C**t, 'I Don't Have Sponsors - I'm on HBO'

I say call your local cable provider, direct TV, DISH, and ask them to pull HBO from their service as long as they employee Maher. If they will not simply cancel the level of service level you have so as not to be receiving HBO, even if they offer it for free. He may not have sponsirs but he has subscribers.

Big Journalism : Republicans Fall For Manufactured Story

When will people realize that Rush is an entertainer? Yes, he speaks truth to power most time and through his ratings and whatnot he has gained some political cred. But he is at heart a "shock jock". What Rush did was used an extreme reaction to point out an extreme reaction. His absurdity was designed to shed light on the absurdity of what Ms. Fluke testified to. What leaders on the right need to be saying is just that and then turn it back on the questioner just like Dana pointed out. Ask them why they aren't questioning "Progressive" leaders about the actions of Bill Press, Keith Olbermann, and Ed Shultz.

You know Andrew Breitbart is looking down and laughing. From what I've read he reveled in his ability to cause people to react has Press has. In a weird way Press is paying homage to Breitbart with his diatribe.

Big Government : Wednesday Open Thread: Primary Edition

Good wins for Romney last night. We'll see where everyone stands after Super Tuesday. The lingering question for me is will Anti-Mormon's and Evangelicals coalesce around Romney quickly if he does take the nomination? My fear is they will let their dislike of LDS Faith trump their desire to win the election. I hope I'm wrong but I've got a gut feeling it might happen. I hope people will follow the example of folk's like Rush Limbaugh who said on his radio show Tuesday that he will get behind the eventual nominee enforce. We have all shown, no matter who our candidate, throughout this Primary that we have passion. My question is will we take that passion and build momentum or will we take that passion and our toy's and go home if "Our Guy" doesn't win?

I'll give you 3. 1) Is a hands on leader. I've said that again and again. I've watched him take charge of a situation first hand during the Olympics in '02. Doesn't just delegate actually rolls up sleeves and gets to work. That's huge. 2) Has had documented success turning around failed ventures. Whether it be State Gov, Business, or Olympics he has proven time and again he can get from the red to the black. Not many in government, if any, can say that. 3) Contrary to what is posted, he does have support of real conservatives and Tea Party Groups. More grassroots organizations support him than what's reported. The value of that? He'll have decent coattails come November. Bonus- Cat is scandal free. Many lament wanting a Boy Scout well with Romney you got one. 3)

Big Journalism : Joan Walsh's Bigoted Attack On Romney's Faith *UPDATED: Obama Former Speechwriter Joins

Just the tip of the Iceberg. It's going to get worse and worse. The thing is it isn't new. It's all been said for years it's just now it's out of the smokey back rooms and onto 140 character bully pulpits. Question is will Conservatives defend The LDS or will they speak volumes by not standing up for them? Props to Dana Loesch for speaking out.

Big Government : The Gaffetastic Santorum Campaign

He did say that, if you go to fact check dot com/ org it addresses this issue. He has changed his position on the issue. I may have put this quote up already, if so I apologize, but here is a more recent quote than the one you're referring to: Romney, Jan. 24, 2008: "I also, like the president [George W. Bush], would have signed the assault weapon ban that came to his desk. … [W]e signed that in Massachusetts, and I said I’d — I would support that at the federal level, just as the president said he would. It did not pass at the federal level. "I do not believe we need new legislation. I do not support any new legislation of an assault weapon ban nature, including that against semiautomatic weapons. I instead believe that we have laws in place that, if they’re implemented and enforced, will provide the protection and the safety of the American people." So there you have his position. His current position and one he's held for several years. I hate how the term flip flop is used now. It means no one is ever allowed to change their stance. When it was used referring to Kerry he was changing his position based on who he talked to that day. Romney's ideology has changed as he's gotten older and studied more. That's not a bad thing. Remember Reagan was a Pro-Union Dem at one point. Ron Paul has changed his stance over the years as well. Unfair to doubt someone when they've remained consistent since they've had a change of mind.

On Gun Rights: "Let me speak very directly and candidly about where I stand. I support the Second Amendment as one of the most basic and fundamental rights of every American. It's essential to our functioning as a free society, as are all the liberties enumerated in the Bill of Rights..." Romney speaking to the NRA. "I believe we need to focus on enforcing our current laws rather than creating new laws that burden lawful gun owners. I believe in safe and responsible gun ownership and that anyone who exercises the right to keep and bear arms must do so lawfully and properly. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all federal approach to gun ownership because people keep and use firearms for different reasons. Law-abiding citizens have a right to protect their homes and their families and as President, I will vigorously defend that right." Romney, January 7, 2008, The Washington Post So talk the juvenile talk such as "sucks" and "ain't" all you want. You started the name calling by broad brushing all who support Romney as "Progressive". HAHA! What else you've done is thrown out tired arguments with nothing to substantiate them. You've used stale rhetoric with no facts. You sir/madam are a bomb thrower. There is nothing honest in your dialogue it's all hat no cattle. I didn't throw out the "Sam Adams Anarchist" line in reference to your gun debate I threw it out based on your WHOLE debate. You want it 100 percent your way. That's not how The Founding Father's set it up Ashrak. Romney had to deal with that in Massachusetts and now you want to hang him on it. Again, as I said above Romney has answered the questions you've asked. It's your choice to hear the answer/accept the answer. If ytou don't like his answer I'm cool with that. Whether you're for Santorum, Gingrich, or Paul they've all placated at one point or another and if you don't see that then you're being intellectually dishonest with yourself. Bottomline, when/if Romney wins are you going to support him? Or will you pack up your anger and sulk down into the bunker? I assume, and hope you will stay above ground and help us fight the good fight and win the election. what say you? I didn't address one of your concerns because you still don't get it. I'm not here to convince you to vote for Romney. You made some comments I gave you the honest reason why I supported Romney to help shed some light. Thrashing each other is not going to get any candidate elected. So keep it coming "Truth to Power" and you'll end up with another Sharon Angle/Christine O'Donnell type election. But hey at least you'll have another 4 years to complain about Obama! ;>)

Oh my goodness. People are funny. You're funny. Everything you've just pointed out is absurd. Everything you've mentioned above Romney has addressed. As far as Judicial Picks go look at his picks up in Mass. I'm not going to take the time to find the articles but I know he had a committee he was forced to work with under Mass State Law and that he did a pretty good job of working his way through that serpentine without getting a lot of activist judges nominated. Plus, sorry Judicial Picks are a crap shoot no matter who's in. Look at who gave us some of the most activist judges we have. But hey if bitter and grumpy is what makes you happy and if calling the candidate and his supporters "Progressives" helps you stay warm at night keep on keeping on Tiger! But riddle me this... Are you going to pull a Hollywood Liberal stunt and threaten to move to Canada if Romney is the eventual nominee? Or will you need to back track on your faux-Progressive rhetoric? Obviously you missed my point entirely above. Support who you want, disagree on points of policy and campaign style but don't label those of your same ilk Progressive. I personally have voted for the most conservative candidate in every election since I could vote. I got in trouble for wearing a "Mondale Eats Quiche" Shirt to class in High School because my hippie lib teacher hated it. Have been a faithful conservative my whole adult life while working in a business (media) where that's frowned upon. Don't call me a Progressive just because I won't march off the ledge with a candidate I don't support as fully as another. We can agree to disagree on who we think is best for the job, that's why we hold an election. Yeah clown you've struck a nerve! I'm not a Progessive but I'm sure as heck not a Sam Adams Anarchist either. UGH!

Santorum's large lead in Michigan are already coming back down. The Romney Campaign isn't anything close to running on fumes. That's wishful thinking on your part. This Primary is split 2 ways I believe. I believe some involved this political season mirror our economy more than any other. People are kicking the tires and really holding tight before making a decision. Which is fine. It's why the GOP Party set up the Primary System the way they did this round. I believe others just aren't engaged and won't be engaged till The Main Event. Thus the reason for some of the low turnout. Everyone talks about the drop in turnout. Turnout was huge for both parties last go around because it was the first time in forever that neither party was running any kind of incumbent. I think the talk of turnout being down is greatly over exaggerated. Again it's a total Marathon this go around not a sprint. Romney Campaign gets that.

"The truth is, they are themselves closet progressives but they don;t want to admit it. Whatever they see in Mittens that is so appealing, they can find in Obama. My take? Romney supporters are just too afraid to admit, to themselves much less others, their own progressive leanings." Frankly, you're talking out your Ashrak. I'm not anything close to a Progressive never will be. Neither are the people who I know that support Romney. Instead of bashing us for supporting our candidate with superfluous "Takes" focus on WHY we support our candidate. Maybe by asking us? Hmmmm? I currently support Romney because of his ability to get results. The guy gets things done. I understand this from 1st hand experience. I've worked in sports and sports radio my whole adult life. I moved to SLC 10 years ago while the Olympics were taking place I saw him do things on a one on one basis that made me say this guy is a leader. The biggest example I give is the traffic jam that was going on at Snow Basin during the Down Hill Finals. Most leaders would have delegated yelled and screamed. Caught in the jam himself Romney got out got on his Motorola and started helping direct traffic. He rolled up his sleeves and got involved. That to me is leadership, It's what we need going on in DC and haven't had for awhile, if ever. I'm tired of The Newtrons and Santoriums whining and moaning about "Mitt being negative", "Mitt being a Progressive", or "Mitt is robotic". Your insipid moaning hurts your candidate more than their gaffes! I'm not a Progressive, Not a Big Government Spender. I'm a Pragmatist, like most who live and work today. I like Mitt because he's gotten results wherever he's worked. That's the botttomline. we need some serious things done to get Our Government back on track, Mitt has shown an ability to get things done. Worried about Health care? He's said time and time again he'd give an executive override to The States on ObamaCare day one, that's good enough for me. Just as it's good enough that Santorum and Gingrich have said pretty much the same thing. So quit with the bashing, yipping, and groaning. Agree to disagree on who you want in office until the dust settles but then no matter who comes up aces get behind the candidate so we can beat the only Real Progressive in the race. Um that would be President Obama. u can hear me with your head so tightly ensconced in your Ashrak! Geesh! (BTW- Just had to get the "Ashrak" digs in because you called me a Progressive. They were truly meant in jest and not to meant at all to offend. Don't want to come off as a hypocrite after my little diatribe on supporting whoever. LOL!)
