I have heard those "Christians" you describe called "practical atheists". I do not see a direct parallel for Islam since along with the descriptions of it as a malignant totalitarian ideology, if someone cares to call it a religion at all, it is a religion of works(I suggest the "interfaith" events change to "interworks" since the iffy Christian participants in those things seem to major on works.)
Christianity is a religion of the heart and faith in the God of the bible is key. We are saved by God's redeeming power and nothing we do. Satan recognized(es) Jesus and was(is) under his authority, but Satan certainly has not received saving knowledge. Muslims seem to know they cannot ignore Christ, who must be neutralized, so a priority in Islam is to attack the deity of Christ. They need to catch up with their true founder in the acknowledgement of Christ (which would be a difficult needle to thread with their book).

Powerful points about the propagandistic president and his press.
I would also suggest the addition of "comprehensive" (health care, illegal immigration, to just scratch the surface), "equality" (marriage and illegal immigration) and raining bombs "in order to protect civilians" (as in the bombing of Libya) to your spot-on commentary.

Do not mistake what I write as any defense of Islam; I strongly agree with the hideous nature of it that you point to. I would highlight the quest for truth.
It is possible you have a different definition of atheism, but I disagree with the notion that atheists are able to identify peaceful and violent belief systems. Atheism is one of the pillars of the communism, hardly a benign belief system. Take the God of the bible out of the equation and look out! What I mean by that is that the bible teaches we are not "basically good". We are sinners in need of forgiveness. Our consciences seem good to us, but cannot be trusted. Look for instance at the political divide in our nation. There are policies and programs being operated that are clearly inimical to all that is dear to patriotic Americans. Government actions we regard as cultural and economic suicide seem just fine to the other side, especially to what some call the "ruling class" and their drones.
The bible says those outside of faith in Christ do not have spiritual discernment. One who has placed his faith in Christ has the indwelling of God's Holy Spirit to show him right and wrong and show him that what the bible teaches is truth and how to test other teaching. This is not some achievement by men, but supernatural.

Perhaps another "Patient Zero" progeny will step comfortably into Chavez' shoes.

So true.
Your number 4, where the US government, in its inexplicable nod to political correctness with the establishment of a theocracies in Iraq and Afghanistan (which cannot be a democracies), will stand out as a black marks on US military and diplomatic history. The US Department of State and anyone and any policy or cabal connected to those decisions and events where our state power works to establish Islamic states are not just worthless, they are radioactive.

What you write does not fit with information I saw a few years ago. A quick check of some history shows that the Weimar Republic under1928 legislation compiled "extensive police files on (German) gun owners". Nazis went down the lists to first disarm the Jews, then the German population to ensure Hitler's monopoly of deadly force. Mr. Steven Halbrook also claims the popular European registration lists were obtained by the Nazis in the regions they invaded to roundup any potential opposition. Hitler's 1938 gun legislation was referred to as another gun control law. If it had been, as you claim, used to arm the population, the nurturing of opposition to the Gestapo and secret police, who were doing the disarming, would seem hard to explain. Unless you were referring to mobilization for war by the German military, industry, finance. There seem to be different facts out there. Glad to hear you have "no problem with the Second Amendment". I have a problem with US registration lists.
