Hey Greg, that's the beauty of the Facebook Fan Page - it's the only part of Facebook that is searchable and indexed by Google and the search engines; I imagine the blog feature would be as well, which would be an added bonus from a search engine optimization standpoint for business owners!

Hey Greg, you're unfortunately probably right about the popularity of social media leading to more spammers - and more spam prevention tools - just like with everything else, there's always those few bad apples. I think the overall benefit for small business owners will outweigh the downsides, however!

Hi Greg, you make a really great point about not all local businesses being retail establishments. We're a small biz, but we have no retail presence, so often these location-based tools aren't as helpful for me as those with a storefront. It will be interesting to watch as folks like us without a storefront mold these tools to work for us - and to see what Google and the other search engines do to create new tools at the same time!
