I have been a Winnipeg resident and law abiding Canadian citizen for my entire life, along with three other generations of my family whom were farmers in Manitoba. I would like to give you my opinion, which is reflective of many other Winnipeg residents, about the article that reads “Iranian sex offender free man” – Winnipeg Free Press, July 3rd, 2009.I can’t tell you how disgusted I am with Citizenship and Immigration officials who decided that it was better to have this monster walking our Winnipeg streets than to have him sent back to his home country, where he belongs. As far as I recall, the law requires for all of its permanent residents and refugees to abide by our Canadian Laws or they would be sent back to their own country.The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act reads, The objectives of this Act with respect to Immigration are: to protect the health and safety of Canadians and to maintain the security of Canadian society.
