Glad someone else noticed the Christology/Patriotism in the Raimi movies. I'm sure they will be sorely missed. Personally, I was just not ready to move on from the Raimi storyline, even after the mess that was Spiderman 3. The Tobey Maguire Spidey was the superhero of my generation, in many ways, and to see him recast before I'm even out of college just feels odd to me.

Not that Rice has been an Orthodox Christian since her return to religiosity, but this sounds like an interesting project nonetheless. I'm also relieved that at least some influential figures on the culture scene enjoyed 'Soraya M.' It deserved a wider audience, in my opinion.
