Wonkette used to have radical left wing politics, which helped make it irreverent and funny. Now it's turned into a house organ for Barack Obama, Who Can Do No Wrong, and the Democratic Party. The DNC thanks you, Rebecca, but the price for this is that Wonkette has gotten more predictable and less funny. This givez me a sad.

This thread is like Two Minutes Hate in an amusement park. Why do so many of you have such a nasty hard-on for Snowden?

Read his interview with Glenn Greenwald here. His discussion of the right to privacy is memorable: "I don't want to live in a world where everything that I say, everything I do, everyone I talk to, every expression of creativity, or love, or friendship is recorded....." Instead he wants what we all want: "a sort of freedom to communicate with each other in privacy without it being monitored, without it being measured, or analyzed or sort of judged by these shadowy figures or systems anytime they mention anything that travels across public lines."

I don't care if he's a libertarian. Libertarians aren't wrong about everything. For example, they want to legalize marijuana.

Mr. Dorner is providing a valuable public service, but I feel that he may have been a little excessive when he killed the daughter of the former police captain who screwed him over. Visiting the sins of the fathers on the children is a privilege normally reserved for God.

Meanwhile, LAPD has gone into FULL PANIC MODE.

I don't know who "regular Americans" are, but check out the liberals at DU sometime. They are as intolerant as the conservatives at Free Republic. Try making a radical left-wing criticism of their liberal dogmas and see how fast you get kick-banned. You can't even say "Bammz." One "Obamar" and you're gone!
