On the whole Canada`s Muslims are fairly moderate, a large percentage being Sufis and another group whose name I forget.

There are also the extremists for sure, but who to this point have had no impact on Canadian society.

Nonetheless, it remains true that the moderates are unwitting Trojan horses for the bad guys.

That's a pretty good theory about what happened, one which may well prove accurate. I had heard at first that investigation was being blocked. Now that I understand otherwise I'm less troubled, assuming there's no reason to think it will be a coverup.

If the media had known the "white" guy was actually Hispanic, this story would never have played out as it has - that is, as a story about race. By the time this was known it was too late to rein it in.

Stats do show increasing attacks on Jews, but not on blacks. Moreover, DH is talking about worldwide, not just the US. Accordingly African states are not singled out for condemnation at the UN, over and over and over. No black African state is considered illegitimate, or relentless investigated by UN bodies. It was not black children murdered in France, or cemeteries with black names that are defaced throughout Europe. It is not black people running scared from Malmo and elsewhere. No one and no state threatens a holocaust of black people.

Countless people don't like everything Israel is doing but are not seen as anti-Semitic. It is not why Buchanan is seen that way. It is for other reasons, like extreme prejudice and the totally misplaced attribution of pejorative and manipulative motives behind actions and words.

That's not why he's seen as an anti-Semitie.

Anti-Semites and racists have little self respect, so being labeled for what they are can't diminish what minimal self-esteem they possess.
