Gee, I never get an e-mail anymore stating Scott has posted something new. So here is my much belated Merry Christmas. I am back on the mend again. I can't remember if I told anybody about my ordeal or not, but let me just say this was one Christmas I would not want to repeat.

But we are looking at 2010 not scanning the rear view mirror. I ahem, have not resorted to grown-up pull ups yet, but my MS may soon dictate Grannie Pampers or Homely Huggies. At such time will I be deemed a potential terrorist.

Hey, where is my free cardigan, since my income is rather poorly fixed. No cost of living raise this year ya know. Well, my thermostat is never turned on since I receive free heat from the elderly who love below me who turn up the thermostats to solar temps. In turn I must open the windows at night so I can sleep. Maybe I am ahead of the curve but I enjoy room temps about 66 to 68 degrees.

I have been wiped for for a week since my neurologist put me under a 5 day intensive IV steroid treatment. I thought I would be busy on my computer since normally I get this treatment in the hospital, not home, but now the new economy says no more hospital. My aide did come every day along with an RN to hang the ol' bag. Well, today is cold turkey day and I hope to get my brains back soon. What brain cells I did have were useless and I spent most of the day watching a host of Christmas, detective and cowboy movies on the boob tube. Logic was erased for a week so news programs didn't even excite me.

We are seeing a bit of our first snow today. Somewhat late for the first dusting but I won't see what the other side of the Appalachians are getting (thankfully), but I do like snow--it is just that I haven't poked my head outside for a week and need to accomplish a thing or two at the market.

After this week let winter begin!

Hey, me too. Have a slap happy Thanksgiving from the Bunker.

Now, this is just a rumor so don't go spreading it around but I heard Barack O'Bama bowed down before the national turkey before he released it into the hands of Green Peace ( who immediately consumed him).

This was a better death for the old turkey who was to be released to the Humane Society of America who would have released him to the peaceful forest where he would have been mauled by a half-starved endangered polar bear who swam to the coast line after his ice chunk melted.

But to one and all Merry Thanksgiving

When we awoke and rubbed the sleep from our eyes during the Carter Administration a new figure rose from the horizon named Reagan. Many who first heard his vision for America may not have trusted him because we saw our country so been beaten down. But soon his words made sense and those, who at first, thought him strange soon began to listen.

Regan, to many, became one of our most loved president. Now Governor Palin has her voice. Much like Regan many have not figured out if they like her, trust her or even appreciate her wisdom. Will time give her the opportunity to be heard? Will she grow in the hearts of Americans? I don't have the answer but remember how it took a season for Regan to be appreciated.

For a woman the liberal hates they sure love talking about her. I wonder if they ever thought that if they just quit harping on her people would forget who she is.
