Thank you everyone who prayed for me. I got a job by the grace of God! Praise God for His faithfulness!
I'm sure I'm not alone in this but I'd like prayer for a job. I'm a college student, and my finances are really hurting. I've applied to several places and it's frustrating not to get any kind of replies. I've worked as long as I was old enough to and it's very frustrating not having a steady source of income. In spite of all that, I also would like to praise God for providing me with what I've needed. I appreciate all of your prayers and I praise God that He has used this site to unite brothers and sisters from around the globe. I'll be praying for everyone and for the specific prayer requests that I see. I'll commit to an hour when I have a better idea of what I'll be doing that day. God Bless everyone!
"dump that volunteer mobile while you can". Hahaha! I can totally relate to this. I seem to be the only one in my group of friends who has a pick-up truck. When I came home from college I thought there would be a wild celebration since I had returned from the land of higher education. But was it? Oh no, I had to help like 12 people move their stuff in a span of three days. It was ridiculous. Ghost riding it off a cliff sounds like a good idea.
Well I'm still relatively new at this. I've only been reading since November (?) 2009.
By far one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. Awesome. Plain and simply awesome.
How about a commercial? It opens upon a very studious Chuck Norris. Wearing a plush robe, and reclining in his lush study, Chuck casually flips through the SCL book. He looks up at the camera, and with a look of surprise says, "Oh, I'm sorry, I was only reading." He goes on to tell how he got his ripped abs, beard, and mad martial art skills from two sources: the new bowflex home gym and Stuff Christians Like. The next several minutes can be clips of Chuck Norris curling the SCL book or reading it while doing push ups. Anything Chuck Norris endorses is guaranteed to sell big.
While wearing this device, people at church will stop asking why you're single ... they'll just know.

I'm not sure how accessible the "wilderness" is in Atlanta, but here in Nevada, it's just a few minutes away. My preferred prayer environment is the great outdoors far away from the beaten path. It's here that you can just sit and listen to God. Just like the Israelites and Jesus, the wilderness can be a place of healing, reproof, training, and growth. Although it's not quite vacuum sealed like Billy Graham's closet (or Vader's for that matter) usually the only sound I can hear is the wind in the trees. Very awesome, indeed.
