I am confused that someone would "thumbs down" this post. This person is just looking for ease for his family. I support this plan myself. I think that the second avenue issue should be put to a vote. The medical district could use sky walks instead of closing streets.

I feel that if the moeny is not used for the buyouts then it should go to flood protection.

We were told by the government that we did not need flood insurance. Every last dime I have had in the last two years has gone into recovering from the flood. I have spent over 120,000 (80,000 of my own) dollars on repairing my home and now it is only worth 40,000. If I had flood insurance, I would not have rebuilt. I would have paid my house off and let it go. But I could not, I have a mortgage.

If my family qualifies for this money, I plan on putting a new roof on my house. I doubt that we will due to Duplication of Benefits. Again, which i am fine with as well. I wish some LOST money would go into flood protection.

I am with you on this one Todd. There should have been at least a Q&A session or two. Something to make the public feel a little more comfortable especially when we just went through years of back room dealing. I do like the hire though.

The form of governmet that we have ad the city charter require we have a city manager. It is not something that we can say we do not want anymore at least not without voting on it.

See, if they were not flooded, they don't get it. This has nothing to do with race, or wealth or what the property looked like before the flood.
