This is one smart lady to be able to get all the guys going and ranting sexist diatribe just with one little phrase as a parody. She could have said: "Mama said there would be days like this when you only have crony friends like this".

You made my point. Worshipping Steyn. Why would anybody subscribe to a magazine where a writer concurs with one's own views and then call all other views ignorant and narrow. All one needs to do is stand in front of a mirror to reflect one's own views and save his money. Normally if a person subscribes to a magazine, if in fact he does, it's to get a range of views that may differ from his and learn something. Otherwise it's called dogma or a religion. Steyn's rôle in life is to create controversy by implying that his articles are facts rather than only his personnal opinion thru his rose colored glasses just like everybody else has opinions, not truths, but opinions. Arrogance goes one step further by calling all other opinions ignorant and narrow instead of just opinions.

One should at least ask one's wife for her opinion or to read these "macho guy" comments first so she can decide for herself if she is with the right respectful person in her life. Specially when one dares critisize Tiger for getting caught doing the macho thing that some seem to dream about via their second brains.

The Guys mentionned in the sad comment like to pretend that they would like to shag just about anyone in their dreams while critisizing Tiger for getting caught. The game goes a bit like R.D Laing's Knots:

They are playing a game. They are playing at not

playing a game. If I show them I see they are, I

shall break the rules and they will punish me.

I must play their game, of not seeing I see the game.

It's none of anybodies business what Tiger Woods does with his personnal life and his second brain as long as he serves the purposes of this hypocritical society playing golf, selling junk and making cash for all the corporate crony hypocrites playing at being moral.

Steyn is right, this is the way to make a living...eroding our intelligence.

Here is an idea, sell carbon commodities to polluting companies so that they can pretend to control their carbon emissions. There is room for a lot more Bernie Maldoff's preying and scamming the System for all you can eat, breath and drink cash while adoring adoring the sacred invisible hand of the market pretending to save the planet.

Obviously our prime minister is well on the way to bringing in the end of the world so he can revert back to his true primal, prehistoric and fundamentalist nature riding on one of his pterodactyls in his cabinet pretending to govern Canada while embarrassing us into submission or to more emissions.

It's great that Steyn actually makes somebody think in the hidden virtual audience but some of us would rather just turn the page without knowing what Steyn now wants us to think.

This is all fine to be hero worshiping Steyn or becoming one of his groupies while signing up for a subscription. But the real question would be: who dissects Steyn mercilessly for his follies hidden behind a guise of cynicism and pretense of humor. God? There are some that would cancel their subscription rather than become a groupie of a one track mind writer that pretends to know it all based on one's own fabricated truth that keeps groupies coming back for more like "just can't get enough of them sugar crisps" addiction. To paraphrase Jane jacobs, it takes all kinds of people to pretend to be debating on something important as climate change for example while taking sides in the process as if the planet cared what Steyn or any other illucidated product of humanity thinks. When the big one comes, one can always sit on your hands reading Steyn arguing on facts.
