I'm not sure that is true but if it is, I blame Omar. if that is true, they should have brought up a starter with options.
I'm still not sure he needs to clear waivers though.

reality check here.
this does not mean figgy is released, does it? it seems to imply that he now has to clear waivers. is that true? I didn't assume this to be the case.

looks at reality. stokes isn't pitching much and he can go multiple innings. parnell can go multiple innings. they need a short guy and preferably a lefty. I looked up the minor league stats this morning and fossum ahs been great thus far.

and if they need a starter before redding or garcia are ready, they have niese.

reyes, murphy, wright, delgado, beltran, sheffield, tatis, santos, figgy.

pretty much the implied order but thought I'd post it since it is on mlb.com already.

I was wondering when this would happen. tatis needs ABs, it's plain and simple but with castro the #1 catcher right now and sheff getting some starts, tatis was the RH option off the bench.

with castro getting the C day off, this makes a little sense. tough break for luis but it is a game.

I agree with the move. tatis just needs to get some ABs.

I'm curious to see the startling lineup today and the fans reaction.

everyone is writing off the marlins already. they are a good team. I think the Mets and Phils are both better 162 game teams but the marlins could help determine the nl east winner.

their bullpen will be their downfall in the end. sound familiar?

I don't have time to have my own blog which is why I read other blogs. I have a full time job and work many hours. since this is Matt's full time job, I am voicing my opinion. I am sure many people agree with me and many disagree. it's just an opinion and it was stated very respectfully.

if I had a blog as my job, I would take feedback seriously.

remember Joe D's quote about he played hard every day because it may be some little kid's first time seeing him play and he wanted him to walk away with a good impression? well I have read this blog for years and will come back because of what has been here years. However, if I just started reading this blog, I probably wouldn't be coming back.

Stop thinking every negative comment is someone trolling. This blog has been very sloppy lately.

all the SNY clips, the video feeds, etc. I know this is now his job but I think I prefer a blog done for pleasure where it is basic and about the content and works.

in the end, I am going to keep coming here because the positives outweigh the negatives but I don't enjoy this blog as much as I used to when it was just basic, bare bones FOR THE FANS.

I'm sure I'm in the minority.

I usually don't enjoy knocking someone either, but I think this site is starting to got oo corporate instead of what it was intended to be.

yeah, I know. I don't need to read it but lately, I've felt like I should be looking into other blogs. I liked this site so much when Matt was doing it because he wanted to. now it seems as if this is his job and his heart isn't into it anymore.

it seems like he spends more time trying to change the format so that more sponsorships can come in instead of just using what worked for years and putting the time into the content.

I really do hate to criticize but it is clear that the time spent on this blog is no longer into the content.

it was 8-4.
Positives: Castillo. Can't give up ont he guy after only 3 games started. He will have his ups and downs but right now it is his 2B job. Livan looked good but was tired in the 7th. Wright got a hit with a RISP.

Would have been nice if O'Day could have come in and closed the door. Still a god game overall. Now we need Johan to win us the series. Starting out 4-2 on the road would be very nice.
