Let's see, the part relevant to this project is through a mobile home park, then no bike lanes and no stop lights until Pearl then no bike lanes on a narrow two-way, and often rather busy street with cars parked on both sides, to end at Canyon and all that construction. Do you even have kids?

Sad news. For years on my weekly rides I'd look forward to the opening of his stand and enjoyed our short visits when it finally did. Over the years I've learned more about squash than I ever imagined. Such a nice guy. I will miss him.

Ironic retort given we know little about him other than it appears he was having a bad trip, which some of the smartest people over the last 60 years are known to have had also. Thus, the only one here who seems the idiot, if one there need be, is you.

Given the certitude with which you say he wasn't nice or smart and his death was justified, along with your apparent lack of empathy for him and his family, it surely appears the one not nice is also you.

Can we just stop imagining all deaths as legit? And should any of us kill someone, whether we chose to "put our life on the line" is no excuse. (BTW, policing isn't particularly hazardous - especially in Boulder.)

The focus should be exactly where it is - on whether the officer had legitimate cause to kill someone alone on a balcony holding a hammer, even if in a threatening manner.
