He may not have been the father, but it wasn't for lack of trying. The sad thing is that this child will likely grow up to be just like the mother and father(s). Like a pack of wild dogs.

I have no desire whatsoever to try to "time shift" God's day of rest. But I'm probably in the minority anymore, since most people seem to think that only living 6 out of 7 days for themselves isn't nearly enough, especially when the weather is nice. That must be the reason there is so much more room in the pews on nice summer Sundays. But until I hear otherwise from God, PodCasts of sermons don't count as spending a day worshiping God. I'll just stick with God's plan instead of trying to make my own. And I'll just keep enjoying the ability to stretch out a bit on nice summer Sundays while remembering Who provided the nice weather.

'Newsweek gushed however that Obama's version of the character would be "Spock with global sex appeal."'

Sudden urge to vomit. Newsweek, Time, CNN, MSNBC, are nothing but Obama cheerleaders. I'm getting tired of him CONSTANTLY being in the news. Alright, we get it already, it's not news unless it came out of the mouth of Obama or one of his worshipers. Can we PLEASE go back to senseless heartwarming news stories about nothing of consequence, or stories about how bad the USA is again?

Thanks for being honest, I was starting to wonder how long it would take for buyer's remorse to take effect.

I have read the liberal "lighten up, it's just a joke" comments, but I don't see anything funny about it at all. I have kidney disease, and so does a friend of mine. I'm sick all the time because my immune system is literally flushed down the toilet every 24 hours, my legs swell up and hurt, my feet swell to the point that I have to wear oversize shoes--forget wearing boots. I have two young kids who know I'm suffering and dying, and they worry about me all the time, and all I can do is tell them that everything will be OK. I made most of the money in the home, and I just got laid off work. I made twice the money my wife did and we were having problems paying for medicine and healthcare before I lost my job. I absolutely HATE needles because I was traumatized in the hospital when I was a little kid, and I have to have blood tests all the time. One week everything is going well, another week I may need to go on a kidney machine I can't afford. There is nothing more humbling than the thought that you need to be attached to a machine every couple of days in order to continue living, if you can call it that.

And I have it EASY compared to my friend. He's only 20 years old, and he's already on dialysis. Sure, it keeps him alive, but it also robs the body of vitamins that it needs. When you are on dialysis you get a set amount to eat and drink every single day, and it's not much. You can't just drink pop all day, it's too much liquid. If you don't follow these directions every single day you'll die. If he's lucky he'll get a transplant, then he can look forward to taking anti-rejection drugs that deliberately destroy his immune system every day for the rest of his life. They cost a fortune and he doesn't have the money to pay for it, he's just a kid with a part time job. He'll never be able to afford life insurance, a nice house, or even a decent car. How would you like to face that at 20 years old?

But it's all just a big joke, isn't it? You can just post an anonymous message on a website now and feel good about yourself because you're just oh so smart and politically savvy. After all, you are part of the political party that has compassion for the "little" people. All that matters is that your party succeed, no matter how many people suffer, lose their jobs, or die.

My friend and I both feel the same way, we'd rather die free men than live under a huge federal government that promises everything and delivers nothing. And that applies to BOTH parties, we didn't get here overnight, and BOTH parties have been up to the plate. I don't want anything to do with a party that thinks so little of people who suffer that they would wish it upon others, and make light of the condition of these people because they think it's "funny". It's absolutely despicable. If we had a MAN in the room when the "joke" was made he would have gotten up and walked out, whether it be the press or the president. My friend and I have to man-up and take whatever life throws at us, and our president can't even man-up enough to walk out of a room. And he's supposedly nothing short of inspirational for more than half the country? Apparently people have very low standards.
