It might be more appropriate to ask how many other 49-year-olds have been lost in this war. And it is certainly apropos to recognize that women have also lost their lives in these wars.
This is not the appropriate time or place to make such a remark. Please have a tiny bit of decency.
BTW uncletommy, even a heart shot will not bring down a large animal instantly. Deer commonly run 100 yards or more after a clean heart shot, and hunting small game I have seen animals do quite a bit of moving after a spine shot. This is not TV, where everything is nice and clean.
"Dude," I am an experienced shooter and certified safety instructor. Trust me, that would be a dumb idea, I don't care how accurate a shot you might be. You are shooting at two targets that are going 40 mph. You have to bring down both of them simultaneously or things will get worse. You have no idea whether your rounds will over-penetrate and cause more injury. And you are not prepared with the ideal firearm and ammo for this kind of target.
That would be exactly the wrong thing to do. Firing guns into a crowd of people, in the hope of bringing down two horses.
A real horror, made worse by the foolish comments some people have made here.
Don't wast time complaining here. Go to Etheridge's web site and file a request for speaking engagement/appearance, demanding that he apologize and turn himself in to the DC police for arrest. If you're not a NC resident, you can't email him, but there are three office fax numbers that you can flood with letters of protest.
Anything you write here is merely preaching to the converted.
"burn marks indicated the way the electricity traveled through Messenger's body. "
ROFL. I'll bet they did.
I have posted some things on the web that reveal lonliness and depression, but I sure as hell have never even considered blowing up an airliner. There has to be a reason for this particular spin, and I suspect it's because "someone" is planning a mental-incompetence defense for this poor terrorist.... Damn shame they couldn't have just put him somewhere safe on the plane and let him burn himself up.
The AP version of this story recounts physical attacks on previous Popes. But it conveniently neglects to mention the in-house murder of John Paul I.
