Having had three combat tours – and a Purple Heart to boot - I believe I can speak with some authority on the subject. Our military are under very strict ROE (Rules of Engagement) that are often politically driven. These ROEs sometimes put restrictions on our fighting troops that often make them more vulnerable, i.e., you can't fire until fired upon. Trust me the bad guys have so such restrictions. Sometimes the "fog of war" gets so thick that innocent casualties occur. They are the exception instead of the rule. Anyone who says that the military goes out of their way to kill innocent people (implied here that our guys and gals shoot and ask questions later) is either miss informed or understands but are basically liars with their own agenda.

I guess that capitalism isn’t dead - yet. Those who have a better product make money and those who don't fail - unless you get a bailout. The NYT, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC use to be sources of creditable news - or was I just brain washed. The people vote with their tuner and they are voting for someone else - that's the American way.

As a vet who served his country for 26 years, fought in two wars - Purple Heart - I take umbrage at what Ms. Napolitano has written about my peers and me. It shows a bias toward vets that is insulting, unfounded, and lacks that facts to defend such an egregious statement. Instead of trying to protect us from the real - can I still use the word without offending - Terrorist she attacks the very group that fought, bled, and sometimes died to allow her to spew such vitriolic nonsense. I believe Mr. Obama should, at the least take her to the political woodshed and beat some sense in her, if not send her packing.

VP Biden wasn't quite correct when he said someone would challenge the President within six months. It only took only 50 days - and it was the Chinese Navy. What the President does or doesn't do will speak volumes about his ability to face international problems without a teleprompter. As he (hopefully) learned with the miscue he made with the note he sent to the Russians concerning Iran, I pray he has the "Nads" to prove to be a strong and decisive leader of the free world. If the international sharks smell the blood of indecisiveness in the water (and they are starting to circle already) there will be a feeding frenzy and we will be on the menu.
