Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/22/09: Interrogation Techniques Provided Us With HIGH VALUE Information

Oh please, get off of the 9/11 train please. I believe this train has made it's last stop with Giulianni. It happened, this doesn't mean if we stop bombing they are going to destroy America tomorrow. Also, if this is the case, many countries have many reasons to hate America forever. Remember Nagasaki and Hiroshima?

Regardless, it is a tactic of torture. Whether you believe it is or not, it is torture. It may not be as bad as let's say, stabbing a man in his groin repeatedly with a rusted safety pin, but it is still torture. Anyway.... This 912 project is supposedly to try and reunite americans, so why is it they are trying their hardest to widen the gap between left-right wings? Why are they only posting articles that point the finger at BO or other left wing politicians? Another thing, they refer to this as a "special interest group", aren't special interest groups the source of alot of our nation's problems and issues? Why is Glenn Beck saying if this country doen't bow to his belief system, that the 912ers should take the country back, by force if necessary? I believe what he is doing is sedition. He is trying to rally the troops, divide this country even more so, and cause it to collapse. Open your eyes and minds. I hope there are others on this site who realize these facts.

Now "mommy" is the step-mother, and you damn kids aren't even giving her a chance. You are blaming her for everything your "mommy" did. You sound like adolescent children who won't accept their father's mate. Like I said, I'm sure alot of you are republican, and you voted for the people who made laws and allowed these people to screw us. Go sleep in the bed of ignorance you have thus made for yourself ;oD Have fun reporting this, ranting and raving. I'm glad I could make you Christian, high alcohol content blood boil. Take care!

This is how it works, in a lamens terms broken down kind of way. I have $5, you have $100. Someone wants you to loan them the $100. You are "iffy" about the subject, but I make a deal with that if you pay me $5 a month, I'll pick up the third parties bill if he can't pay you. The third party goes on a crack binge and disappears, you look at me, I only have $5. You want your money, so I go to mommy(the government) and say "Mommy, I need money. I owe it to somebody, and if I don't pay, I'm going to die!" There you have it, an elementary explanation the rise and fall of AIG and the "mommy" whose rules made me believe I could get away with this.

Alot of you speak of how contracts need to be held. Well what about all the contracts AIG made with investors and other companies, which they had no plans of upholding.(These contracts are the reason AIG is failing) They insured predatory loans given by banks and other investing firms, with money they did not have. So what about the investor who are now broke, or the smaller loan companies which went under, considering they were dependant on AIG to foot the bill if the loan were to default.

The reason the government has become "so big and intrusive" is because the Bush administration (along with many other republicans in congress) stripped us of alot of our civil rights. Tell me how the "Patriot Act" was patriotic at all. It took away all of our right to privacy, and guess what? The Democrats didn't renew it. THANK YOU LIBERALS!! THANK YOU FOR GIVING SOME OF OUR RIGHTS BACK!!!

They are going to run small businesses into the ground with taxes? Most small businesses don't profit over $250,000 a year. So please explain how they going to run small business into the ground with new tax policies that aren't even going to affect them. Some of which will actually have better tax breaks. Well I guess I should have voted for McLame, who wanted to give another $3 billion in tax cuts to oil companies. We all know $40.6 billion a year just isn't enough for Exxon, right? Spitzer(who I agree is a piece of crap) had a good point though, he saw what AIG was trying to do, and tried to put a stop to it. Too bad, so sad, right?

So if you want to blame politicians, look at the people you voted for 11-13 years ago. WQhen they deregulated everything, that's when corporate power took over, you're just now seeing it. Go ahead respond to this with fire and brimestone, and keep living in denial that alot of YOU are to blame for this. Considering YOU vote republican, and YOU voted people into the government which YOU are now blaming(Of course not the people who did it, but the people who are trying to clean it up). So when you start point fingers, point them at yourselves, look in the mirror, and give the middle finger. It is whosoever voted these people into office 11-13 years ago that are to blame.

With all this talk of congress ruining our country, did you stop and think the maybe they are doing all that is in their power to get us out of this mess? HMMMM? Maybe, just maybe they are going to extremes(obviously the opposite end of the bush spectrum) to keep this country from going down? To the jokers on TV talking about how we should make a law and let them break it after the fact. Well, if it weren't for good ol' boy Sen. Phil Gramm, they would have been breaking laws at the time. Considering Gramm was certainly the spearhead of the super republican led deregulation of the late nineties, doing such things as getting rid of the Glass-Steagall Act, which was passed during the great depression. Aig, amognst others, would not have gotten into this mess, considering Joe Cassano's dealings would have been illegal at the time.

It's so funny how people are tring to blame "Liberals" for this mess. HA! Learn your history people, the majority of our recessions were caused by the republican party, or parties that eventually became the republican party. The same can be said for our wars. The republicans don't want to take power away from the government to give it to the people, but to give it to big industry. Also, Liberalsrajoke, I recall the same problem of no checks and balances for the first 6 years of the Bush administration. They did not have to answer for anything they did, let alone give any reason to do it. It is also funny how the republicans gave out this "bail-out". Hmmmm, perhaps conservatives are a joke? Perhaps you sir, are a joke.

Also, the guys who ran AIG into the ground are long gone? Perhaps you need to pay attention, not tell me to do so. The first sign that shows how brainless you are is the fact you follow a grotesque man like Glenn Beck. The man mainly responsible for the downfall of AIG, actually the branch of AIG, AIGFP (AIG Financial Products), which led the whole company into this, is Joe Cassano. He still works for AIG, at the salary of $1 million dollars PER MONTH!!! So who's paying attention? Maybe it is you who needs to pay more attention, since most of you don't have the slightest clue of what you are speaking of. I'm sure half of you defending these people are people of the same mind-set as those like Joe Cassano. If people are willing to let me screw them out of money, then so be it. That's what I hate about alot of my fellow Americans. It's the if you're open, I'm screwing you as much and as hard as possible way of thinking.

Also, alot of the people you voted for(including Bush) gave this bail-out, with no thought of over-sight. So people are mad at Obama for firing the CEO who took GM's stock down 96% since he took over? Yes, if my boss was doing a horrible job, I would hope Obama would fire him and we could replace him with someone better fit. About the UAW, uhhh hello idiot, they all took HUGE paycuts a loooong time ago. The Chrysler employees pay were cut to nearly half of what they made in 2000. Along with many benefits they had. Did the executives lose any pay? NO! Did they lose their right to fly private jets? NO! So don't talk down on the union. They took ridiculous pay cuts, and cuts from their benefits, while the executives continued to benefit.

WOW. That sure brought up some controversy. Well, first off. Alot of people are telling me I need to pay attention to more than just "left-wing" propaganda.... Hmmmm, if only payed attention to "left-wing", why am I reading and posting on such a "right-wing" site? I pay attention to both wings, you do need two of them to fly. Also, So the contracts state that you make $1 a year with "good-faith" bonuses? Ok, so just like with everything else these people do, they write it up to look like they are only taking so little, yet in the end it becomes so much. I'm not trying to defend the government, I'm just saying it's AIG, Lehman Bros., etc. fault, for doing what they did, as much as it is our government. Also, I see so many of you talking so much crap about Obama, some even still trying to defend Bush(LOL) and all this talk about "our country is going so left now..." So remember all of you hardcore right-wingers, republicans, douchebags, whatever you call yourselves, you voted for the guys who made the laws that allowed these people to put the screws to the American people.

Considering these are "public" companies, the CEO is the closest thing to the owner(aside from the stockholders, who usually don't have much say in what the company does), so who is to fire him/her? So this travesty is both in part of our government making the mistake of handing these greedy bastards our money, and also these people not caring whether or not they run this company into the ground. They are there to make money, they realize these companies will not rise again, so they are there to get as much out of it as possible. I believe Obama realized this mistake(Also, consider the fact this bail-out was handed out BEFORE Obama was in office) Which is why he demanded the CEO of GM resign before giving them any further aid. Please people, I see many of you in here wanting to speak for yourselves, so remember to also think for yourselves. Otherwise you are just repeating what you have been told...... Think about it....

Anyone else in here stop to think, perhaps this was written by one of the people at AIG? Did anyone ever think for themselves, or only go on the right-wing propaganda they are being fed? Does anyone else remember these companies were given this "bail-out" money, as a bail-out? These companies were given this money to lift their respective businesses out of the gutter. Not to shamelessly hand the money out to the people who have driven the companies into the ground. As with the case of AIG. These executives (there are more executives than just CEO's) were handed millions of dollars in BONUSES!!! Does anyone else realize in here a bonus is money in addition to a salary (which is the contracted amount of money the executive is to earn) for a job well done?? I don't believe I would give someone who has ruined my company a bonus.
