In the founders formula for limited government, the national government was supposed to be funded by Tariffs & Quotas, what happened? Is it really the job of our national government to promote free trade, when human nature dictates that it can never really be truly free and hence is an illusion? How did free trade become just another means for the redistribution of American wealth across globe (using America's own domestic markets to boot)? How is it that a typical American has come to believe the products & services they provide should be consumed by fellow Americans in support of themselves, yet they feel free to purchase the products & services provided by workers in other lands in clear violation of the economic social contract between them, a contract that is supposed to ensure that both mutually benefit from each other under the rubric of being an American?
If a country wages an undeclared trade war on another, yet the other does not acknowledge that they are in one, does it mean there really isn't one or is it simply that one nation is in deep denial?
Government trade malfeasance created this jobs disaster and more government malfeasance in the form of even more centralization with DELIBERATE shrinking of the private sector (for revolutionary purposes?) will only make matters worse
