Trying to figure out what the purpose of a "Bus Monitor" is?

Aside from that, reading the comments on this article it would seem that the solution for bullying by 11 to 14 year old children is more bullying and knee jerk reactions by cowardly folks who hide behind the perceived anonymity of their computers and phones.

Curious where these kids learn such behavior. I'm quite sure it isn't from more chronologically mature folks like those found on this board (sic).

Of course Unions would support this. Doing a job well is not an unskilled labor union concern....nor is having a coherent, intelligent, thinking member base. Yeah, I can say this not because I enjoy pot....its because I worked for that union many years ago. FYI....grocery store and retail clerks are not skilled labor.

"19-year-old Esbeydi Cazarez-Olvera, had been ejected from the vehicle. She had not been wearing seatbelt and is now in the hospital in serious condition. Her blood alcohol level was .24, which is three times the legal limit, and she is now facing charges of DUII and reckless driving."

Hopefully she at least had auto insurance which comes with PIP protection. However, $15k does not go far in hospital land, especially with an ER visit. Something tells me she doesn't carry any insurance and the rest of us are going to be facing her medical bills. Who is really going to get screwed in this deal?

Are you stating the people outside of the US are not racist? I know my sample size is relatively small but some of the most racist people I have ever met are from Asia and the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.

According to the Aussie...the reason we lost Vietnam is because we allow gorillas in the army
According to the Persians I know...the darker your skin the more inferior you are unless you are from India or are Arab then you are always inferior which to them appears to mean sub-human.
According to the Euros I know....Europe's problems stem from the influx of immigrents from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Similar to what I hear about Mexicans and the US.

Just my personal experience and opinion but I feel like the US, even with the KKK and the Stars and Bars...is one of the least racist countries out there.

Read a history book/website. Oregon has a history of being one of the most racist states in the union. In the mid 19th century through the mid 1920s Oregon had exclusion laws prohibiting blacks from living in the state. Not only did we not want slaves, we didn't want freed slaves either. In the early 20th century the KKK had a pretty significant following....and not just in Coos Bay.

Seems to me the easy fix for this problem is to audit/examine his unemployment account. In order to receive unemployment compensation you have to agree and conform to a number of conditions. Something tells me that since this guy is on the run he is not complying with the most basic condtions....which is actively looking for work and being available to work. Should be fairly easy to verify that. Did he attend the "looking for work" seminar at the unemployment office? Can he provide a list of employer's he contacted about employment? Couple of phone calls should suffice.

I'm not sure what this directive really accomplishes. You still have to have a valid drivers license to operate a motor vehicle in Oregon....correct? If that is no longer the case then hell, I'm not going to renew my license and save me a few bucks. I'll just keep my old one which will still have a record with DMV or I'll make up a card from the Republic of Boobanistan that says I'm John Q Public.
