I have to say that while the coaches and players have to accept some of the blame for this season, Bobby D has to also be looked at. Why schedule TCU in a one game in Dallas? Sure they played TCU tough, BUT THEY LOST! And I know it gave the Rogers Brothers a chace to play close to home, but really do we do that for all our players? So, we already have a good Louisville team and Boise State as part of a home and home schedule why play TCU? Who really though this was a good idea? Play Rice or Houston, but TCU? Why not just stay with Eastern Washington like we already had scheduled. With that on change we would have 6 wins already and be looking at a real shot at the Holiday Bowl. What does Bobby D have in mind for next season? We already have BYU and Wisconsin......who is Bobby D going to schedule us against Auburn? Where is San Diego St. or San Jose St or Utah State or UNLV, these OOC shedules that Bobby D has us playing have never worked for us how many Penn States, LSUs and TCUs do we have to lose before he gets it??? Maybe Riley is untouchable as coach, but how about dumping Bobby D and promoting Riley to AD.

We have beat Number 1 teams before (although Oregon is Number 2 in the BCS rankings) so the Beavers can pull off the upset. It is up to Riley and his coaches to get the team ready to play and get them fired up. This will be a test of Riley and his coaching staff.

It takes time for some of us to admit the Beavs seem to have peaked, myself included. The last two years we were in the hunt for the Rose Bowl, until we got beat by the Ducks. And we ended up the Sun and the Las Vegas Bowls. I didn't realize until the Stanford game just how far we had fallen, and all Riley can say is he will have to review the tapes....

Brooks,

I have to ask, do other conferences have as many complaints about their officials? A few years ago is was celebration penalties, there have been issues with the replay officials. etc. It seems that it is always something with the Pac-10 officials, or is it just that we see the Pac-10 officials so much?

Exactly right Brooks, how can none of his teammates have his back? I found in unbelieveable. And the same WSU player did the same thing it Katz later in the game. Cliff noted in his blog that Riley was taking no action. Does one of his players have to get really hurt before he takes some action, oh wait, James got hurt against Arizona. There are times when a 15-yard penalty is worth it, especially when the Pac-10 is not going to do anything about it.

Does one of the Beavers have to get seriously hurt before Riley will stand up for his players? To allow these hits on Jacquizz to continue is rediculous. Maybe the opposing coaches are not having their players target him, but he is being targetted. What does it take for Riley not to let this be "swept under the rug"

I wouldn't expect Riley to ask for anything. He seems to show no emotion during or after games, so why would we expect him to ask the Pac-10 for a review
