I work at this Safeway, and know personally that it was NOT a Safeway employee that chased the kid down. It was one of the beer vendors. If you don't know what that is, they are basically the people who work for Budweiser, Coors, etc., and are paid to stock the shelves. It is Safeway policy to not pursue shoplifters once they have left the store. If you do you'll lose your job.
